Scar tissue in less then 8 minutes
The 3 main phases
What roughly occurs at each phase
Why its important for a health professional to kinda know about it if you deal with post operative or wounds
About hypertrophic and keloid scarring
Possible medical management options
There are much smarter people who know about this stuff but with what we know about how it works - we can devise ways to stop abnormal scar formation. It's still in its infancy of research though. So I am sure there are heaps of experimental treatments available.
What I didnt really say and again dont really know about is the rate or recurrence after you have had a treatment. If you have had treatment for a keloid or a hypertrophic scar there is a possibility that it can occur again. But again not much is known.
This was a request from someone who has had scars from surgeries. So there ya go!
