Yéremi Vargas hubiera soplado 25 velas este jueves 18 de julio. Hace ya 17 años que se desconoce su paradero. Su desaparición, el 10 de marzo de 2007 en Los Llanos, Vecindario, localidad del sureste de Gran Canaria, es uno de los casos sin resolver que más ha consternado a la sociedad isleña.
Ithaisa Suárez, su madre, lleva dos décadas sin ver ni abrazar a su hijo mayor. El niño jugaba con sus primos en el solar contiguo a su casa un sábado. Alrededor de la una y media de la tarde, la abuela se asomó por la ventana para anunciar la hora del almuerzo. Todos acudieron a la llamada, excepto él, el pequeño Yéremi, de tan solo 7 años.
