  • After midnight on July 6th, 2012, three teenage girls walked into the thick Appalachian woods somewhere along the Mason-Dixon line. Hours later, under the glow of a nearly full moon, only two walked out.

The very last time Dave and Mary Neese saw their only child Skylar was in a grainy black-and-white video. In it, she's sneaking out of her ground-floor bedroom in the middle of the night, her purse over her shoulder, her brown hair swinging as she hurries across the small parking lot to a waiting car.

What happened to Skylar Neese has become gothic American lore: the odd girl out in a vicious teenage triangle. But in the ten years since that fateful night beneath the West Virginia stars, a fuller portrait of what happened has emerged. From award-winning journalists Justine Harman and Holly Millea comes a gripping 10-part series featuring Skylar's family, closest friends, and law enforcement who lived the case—and are still living it.

I invite you to join me as I explore other people’s stories. We will celebrate, above all, the challenges and setbacks that ultimately lead to growth and betterment. What qualifies me for such an endeavor? More than a decade of sobriety, a degree in Anthropology and four years of improv training. I will attempt to discover human “truths” without any laboratory work, clinical trials or data collection. I will be, in the great tradition of 16th-century scientists, an Armchair Expert.

  • Just B Divorced is the deconstruction of a decade long divorce.

Ten years after her divorce nightmare began, Bethenny Frankel is ready to tell her story.

Bethenny is an unintentional expert on divorce. The time has finally come for her to share her story, her wisdom (heartache and pain) about this topic that most of us know all too well. The only thing that got her through the worst time of her life was the thought of helping people to never have to endure what she has.

This series is a cautionary tale for anyone who has been, is or will ever be in a relationship. This is a must listen for anyone and everyone going through it. If you’re on the verge of divorce or a breakup, or on the path to love, the wisdom you will gain could prevent years of grief and suffering.

If 50% of us will get divorced, let’s arm ourselves with this knowledge now to thrive when it happens or avoid it if at all possible.

  • With a smile and optimism that epitomizes South Florida in the 1980s, Billy Halpern is the last person anyone expects to find brutally murdered. Six months after his body is found, throat slit ear-to-ear in a professional execution-style hit, the investigation goes cold. When his best friend and girlfriend turn up dead, investigators realize Billy might have been caught up in a larger scheme involving the city's most dangerous criminals, local wise guy and mob associate Bert Christie and decorated ex-cop Gil Fernandez.

Despite circumstantial evidence tying a growing list of crimes back to Christie and Fernandez, the murders go unsolved for years. Decades later, investigative journalist and former cop Scott Weinberger and Detective Danny Smith agree to work together to solve this murder mystery. Ultimately, this yearlong investigation will expose the true motive behind this killing spree and uncover new evidence including the DNA of the killer. Justice for Billy Halpern is just a listen away.

He went on to write the bestselling book, 10% Happier. On this show, Dan talks with eminent meditation teachers, top scientists, and even the odd celebrity. Guests include everyone from His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Brené Brown to Karamo from Queer Eye. On some episodes, Dan ventures into the deep end of the pool, covering subjects such as enlightenment and psychedelics. On other episodes, it’s science-based techniques for issues such as anxiety, productivity, and relationships. Dan's approach is seemingly modest, but secretly radical: happiness is a skill you can train, just like working your bicep in the gym. Your progress may be incremental at first, but like any good investment, it compounds over time.

This is perpetuated by agricultural, food, and health care policies that don’t support health. • I’ve spent over 20 years studying the emotions and experiences that bring meaning and purpose to our lives, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s this: we are hardwired for connection, and connecting requires courage, vulnerability, and conversation. I want this to be a podcast that’s real, unpolished, honest, and reflects both the magic and the messiness of what it means to be human. Episodes will include conversations with the people who are teaching me, challenging me, confusing me, or maybe even ticking me off a little. I'll also have direct conversations with you about what I’m learning from new research, and we'll do some episodes dedicated to answering your questions. We don’t have to do life alone. We were never meant to.

  • Over 19 days in March of 2018, five package bombs were mysteriously placed or mailed to random locations in and around Austin, Texas — killing two people and seriously injuring another five.

During these mysterious, terrifying attacks, hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world would descend on the city for the annual South by Southwest festival, prompting as many federal law enforcement to respond to these bombings as did during the Boston Marathon attacks. On the front lines of it all is the Austin Bomb Squad, who has never experienced anything quite like this in their department’s history.

This is the thrilling, true story of the 19 days of terror that settled over one of the fastest growing cities in the world at one of its busiest times told by the law enforcement, victims, journalists, and residents who witnessed it.

  • Detective Louis N. Scarcella was a legendary figure in New York City during the '90s. In a city overrun with violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. But the story changed when a group of convicted murderers-turned-jailhouse lawyers made a startling discovery that linked all their cases: Scarcella was the cop who helped put many of them away. They made a vow: Take down Scarcella. And with the help of a relentless New York Times reporter, they did just that. Thirty years later, 20 people who Scarcella helped put behind bars have since walked free. In the media, he’s known as the disgraced, rogue cop who hoodwinked an entire system. But was this really the workings of one person?

We spent hundreds of hours talking with witnesses who were coerced, jailhouse lawyers, outraged attorneys, and righteous cops. Scarcella insists he didn’t do anything wrong. And after finally tracking him down, he agreed to take us into the belly of the beast... where justice is done (and undone). Welcome to The Burden.

Here, I distill my career success formula into two words: credible and incredible. Always learn from the most credible people; it's these individuals who consistently create incredible work—not the other way around.

So, I meticulously select the most credible global figures for you to learn from. This careful curation ensures that every episode enriches your understanding and maximises your ability to enact your own incredible career changes.

The centerpiece of the podcast is the learnable career story told by real-life role models, akin to business cases and corporate leaders used in the HBS Case Method, a 100-year-old learning standard still widely adopted in world-class, modern-day business schools.

My guests range from the youngest Singaporean parliamentarian at 30, to a trailblazing LGBT tech CEO at 60, a polyglot Russian diplomat turned energy innovator in Cincinnati at 50, and a Parisian lawyer who pivoted to entrepreneurship dedicated to building the youth economy in Senegal at 40. Each has mastered their challenges, offering you time-tested perspectives on how to navigate career changes to succeed with purpose and potential.

An added bonus: The podcast features no ads, no political, corporate, or sales talk, ensuring authentic and uninterrupted conversations.

Soon, I will launch exclusive resources for subscribers and members—courses, coaching, and consulting tailored to amplify your success and mitigate risks, empowering you to define your career laws of change.

Engage with me (@thevincechan) on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Threads. Share your career challenges and aspirations. You could possibly feature in an episode, receiving free, personalized guidance.
