God calls us not just to begin his work but to finish it well and to finish it strong. Finishing his work entails God's anointing upon us and our obedience to that calling. Faithful to his work results in the unveiling of God's glory for all to see. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

Many of us think of Sabbath as a day off. If we do, we have missed the whole point of the gift of Sabbath. God said, "You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you." Through the lens of worship, we will properly understand Sabbath as sanctification, a sign that God is with us forever. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

As Jesus revealed that all of the Old Testament is pointing to him (Luke 24:27), in the 4th Servant Song of Isaiah we have clear picture of God’s plan of redemption for His people. We will explore the dramatic nature of this song and thus have a more profound understanding of Christ’s cross and glorification. - Kevin Wang

Our sins draw us away from God, but, it's God's mercy and grace that draws us back to him. The God who renews offers us forgiveness so that we may have a righteous relationship with him once again. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

Having just worshipped the golden calf, God is deciding what to do with the Israelites. God's solution is to return his presence to them and for them to know God's character. No matter where we spiritually are, God desires for us to experience and know Him personally. - Pastor Dominic Chan

Within 40 days of saying, "All that the Lord has spoken we will do," Israel did the unthinkable. They had seen God's power in action, they had seen glimpses of His glory, and they had clear laws and guidelines given to them...but worship went horribly wrong! What happened? Why did the people go from worshipping the living God to dancing before a golden calf? - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

The ordination of the priests in Exodus 28--29 signify an invitation of God's people into his holy presence. In Exodus 29 we read about how the priests were anointed and ordained in order to draw into God's presence. Today, we are anointed and ordained through the shedding of Jesus' blood on the cross for the atonement of our sin. We are a new creation invited into God's holy presence. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

Being a priest under the Mosaic Law was both an honor and also a heavy responsibility. In the same way that a uniform or certain accessories define and set apart people (i.e. police, delivery person, coach), what God prescribed for the priests to wear was absolutely intentional, and ultimately meaningful. But was the clothing really about the priest? - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

There are many things in life that move our hearts to respond. The construction of the tabernacle in Exodus 25--27; 30--31 goes beyond mere objects; God commanded Israel to build the tabernacle in order to dwell in their midst. How does God's desire to dwell in us move our hearts to respond to him in faith? - Pastor Arthur Hsu

Israel got the full reading from Moses of what God expected out of His covenant people...and they responded with enthusiasm, unity and commitment! However, this covenant needed to be ratified. Blood was involved. The dotted line had to be signed. The beautiful thing is that God's faithfulness would never waver and His grace would be never ending. - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

An aspect of worship is being locked in to the task God has set before us. We are laser-focused on his calling, never to entertain what are not a part of his mission. Freed to worship releases us to obey his voice carefully and to do all he calls us to do. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

We will begin a new sermon series entitled "Freed to Worship." Looking at selected passages from Exodus 19--40, we will see that Israel's freedom from Egypt led to their WORSHIP of God. God wanted his people to live obedient and consecrated lives in worship to the glory of God. He gave them instructions and guidelines to help them know how to truly worship Him as a holy nation. We also have much we can learn when it comes to worshipping our Almighty God! - Pastor Arthur Hsu

Our fear of facing our problems causes us to flee from them, even though we know that never works. When fear controls us, we are unable to see God as gracious and compassionate. Even though we may flee or disobey, God relentlessly pursues us back into obedience. - Pastor Dominic Chan
