In this episode I talk about three prophetic dreams, two of which I had. Prophecy isn't always focused on the future. Sometimes it is focused on a message from God, but also futuristic. This is exactly what happened.
Listen with an open heart and mind and hear what the Lord has to say!

It's easy for us to praise God during the good times, but what happens when God doesn't come through for us in the way we think He should? What happens when our healing hasn't yet happened? What happens when that relationship hasn't yet been restored? Is it all going the wrong way, or is it actually the exact way God has ordained it to go?
Could it be that God is more concerned about our holiness than our healing? Could it be that the only way to healing is through sanctification and holiness? In this episode we're going to unpackaged how sometimes healing is a journey, not a miraculous experience. And how we must be careful not to condemn God while trying to justify how WE think life should be....just like Job.

Welcome to the Homesteading for the Kingdom podcast—I’m your host, Amy Fewell. I’m the founder of Homesteaders of America, a published author, youtuber, homesteader, homeschooling mama, herbalist, and more.
Homesteading isn’t just merely a trend, it’s a movement of God within the earth. From the times of Adam and Eve, and even Joseph, to the modern day church, farming and homesteading has been a lifestyle that God has called His people back to continuously. It isn’t just a modern way to live, it’s a Biblical way to live. In every single Homesteading for the Kingdom episode, we talk about homesteading, Jesus, this way of life, education, the Bible, and how kingdom work is powerful in this movement in every way.
Homesteading is preparing the remnant for what’s to come, and we’re here for it!

Psalm 46:2 -- Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
Psalm 91:5 -- You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
Proverbs 3:7 -- Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.
Isaiah 8:11-13 --
11 This is what the Lord says to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people:
12“Do not call conspiracy
everything this people calls a conspiracy;
do not fear what they fear,
and do not dread it.13The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy,
he is the one you are to fear,
he is the one you are to dread.Isaiah 41:10 -- So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 51:6-8
Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
look at the earth beneath;
the heavens will vanish like smoke,
the earth will wear out like a garment
and its inhabitants die like flies.
But my salvation will last forever,
my righteousness will never fail.7
“Hear me, you who know what is right,
you people who have taken my instruction to heart:
Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals
or be terrified by their insults.8
For the moth will eat them up like a garment;
the worm will devour them like wool.
But my righteousness will last forever,
my salvation through all generations.”JOHN 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

When something is wrong with our body, we often goto a doctor. But healthcare isn't linear. In fact, there are specialists like chiropractors and pelvic floor specialists that can help you heal things a regular doctor knows nothing about. In this episode I talk about my personal experience with recent specialists, and how we can get back to understanding basic human anatomy by using non-linear healthcare.

Homesteading is a currently a major movement in America and beyond. And while the greater homesteading description is "to live a more sustainable life", there are sub communities of homesteaders within that greater homesteading movement. Today we're going over what some of those communities are, some of the stereotypes around them, and maybe discover which community you fit into. Plus, we're talking about the poverty mindset around homestead—do you have to be rich or poor to homestead? Or neither!? Find out in this episode of the Choosing Simple podcast.

In this episode we talk about a list of 20 or so herbs that you absolutely need in your apothecary for an "end of the world" scenario. What do you do when you can't get to the hospital. What if the medical system doesn't exist anymore? Or maybe more simply, what happens if you have something you need to treat and there's no time to get to a medical facility? Grab a notebook and pencil, you'll want to write this info down.

Modern theologians and christians like to state that Eve "usurped" her role as a woman and wife when it comes to the serpent and the fruit. But the reality is that we don't actually know what the Bible says. Coincidentally, Eve also found herself in that situation when the serpent questioned her, "Did God REALLY say that?" And it begs the question, do we really know what the Bible says in general? In this episode we use this example of Adam and Eve, and how Eve was deceived because she didn't know the truths of God.

Do you believe that God still speaks to us through His Holy Spirit? In this episode, I talk about how we found our brand new homestead, and how intricately God was in it all. How He led us away from one home, to find this home. How He gave me a dream about our future daughter, and more. God still speaks to us, we just have to be willing to listen.

I get this all the time—herbalism is witchcraft, or, if it's not, it will send you down that path. If it's not that statement, then it's "if you believe in herbalism then you aren't relying on God." In this episode we debunk a lot of this doctrine and unbiblical theory, and show exactly why herbalism is biblical, and normally isn't due to witchcraft.

Westernized culture often leads women to believe that they should be barefoot, at home, quiet, and oppressed in many situations. I hear it often, "women shouldn't speak in church, women shouldn't lead, women shouldn't.....". Often times, churches will use the Proverbs 31 woman to back up their mentality. But the Proverbs 31 woman just proves their mentality wrong. In this episode, we're going through Proverbs 31, Galatians, and even some of the most popular women in the Bible, to prove just how wrong the "oppressed wife" mindset really is.
