During the past week, a majority of us were awaiting the results of our Presidential election. I took some time to observe all the reactions and, I must admit, was quite nerve wracking to watch. From my observations of the American culture, we are used to drive through service and not patience.

As we look at the previous week, the news about the election was all over our televisions and social media outlets. And I thought to myself this is probably the best time to perhaps start fresh and live your life with intention. No more feeling stagnant, it’s all about making those micro-movements.
This is a good time to be clear about what you need and want. It requires you to consider what you feel. During this time of reflection it is important to ask yourself these two questions, how do I want to feel? What do I want to create with that feeling? What is the feeling about the situation? Whenever you find yourself bumping against the block be kind to yourself then be nice to yourself and humorous and curious. Take it as an indication that you need things to be clear.
So what is the intention and where does it come to be?The intention is to create a little bit of focus on what you want to create. It’s the action part of manifesting It’s a connection with the soul because your soul knows how it would like to navigate this human experience.
What happens when you start working with intention?You’ll let go of what you’ve told in your life now and your past life. You’ll pay less attention to your static that exists out there including the inner critic.
Kaela joins me in this episode to talk about what it was/is like being an Empath. A person who feels at high levels and experiences life full force. She shares what it was like being a teenager and being so open and the techniques that have helped her.

Everyone has their own take on what is true and what isn't. I can't say for another what may resonate or be absolute but I can share what I have learned and heard from many people over the last twenty years in what I consider to be the myths of spiritual teaching and self-help world.
These are five myths to start. Would you agree?First myth- Unconditional Love is a real thing. Second myth- Spirit will do it for me. I just have to hand it over. (Please don't do this.) Third myth- Curses...are they real? Fourth myth- Karma. The one that gets blamed for everything. Fifth myth (which rhymes)- Just think positive. Don't you even allow those "negative" thoughts in. Really. You can't stop them but you can shift them to supportive ones.
There are many myths and misleading directions out there. Trust in yourself and what you believe but be willing to question as well. You've got this!

So often we continue the language and behavior of abuse long after the event(s) have passed. It's a product of our wiring but it is also possible to change.
Using my example of an abusive childhood, I share how I came to realize that I was repeating the patterns toward myself of those who actually participated in the original experience.
