A Seattle-based celebrity photographer and hairstylist accused of criminal abuse is the focus of the latest season of top-rated Iris Award-Winning true-crime podcast Something Was Wrong from Tiffany Reese.
Season 14 of Something Was Wrong features first-hand accounts of alleged abuse from eleven survivors who share their in-depth stories for the first time. They detail the physical, verbal, and emotional abuse they’ve suffered at the hands of this photographer which dates back as far as 2007, in hopes of seeking justice for his victims.
Reese created the program in 2018 to validate abuse victims and educate the public about emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, coercive control, and gaslighting.

September 6, 1982. Craig, Alaska. In the early morning hours of September 6th, 1982, someone boarded a fishing boat docked in Craig, Alaska and murdered everyone on board. Captain Mark Coulthurst, his pregnant wife, two children, and four crew members were killed and their remains were burned to ashes in a fire. This is the largest mass murder in Alaska’s state history.

July 12, 2015. Mays Landing, New Jersey. 18 year old Tiffany Valiante suddenly disappeared after walking out of her house. Her parents had followed her out just one minute after but there was no sign of her. Tiffany's uncle was the first family member to find out the terrible news. Tiffany, who had been missing for hours by that point, had been struck and killed by a train. After some of the teenager's items were found and interviews with the train engineers, law enforcement and the family would disagree on how Tiffany ended up where she did.

November 14, 1995. Sunnyside, Washington. Jose Arreola was fatally shot on November 14th, 1995. For almost six months his girlfriend, the main witness, could not identify anyone in a photo lineup, until she saw a photo of 15 year old Evaristo Salas Jr. She was sure that he was the shooter. Evaristo was convicted of murder, but his family, friends, and thousands of supporters believe he is innocent.

May 11th, 2019. Milledgeville, Georgia. On May 11th, 2019 UGA professor Marianne Shockley died while spending the evening with her boyfriend and acquaintance at a home near Milledgeville, Georgia. Marianne and her two companions were found naked in what was described by the sheriff as a “bizarre” scene. Only Marianne’s boyfriend, Marcus Lillard, is still alive to testify to what happened that night.

May 1, 1994. Tucson, Arizona. On May 2, 1994, Angela Gray rushed into the emergency room at Kino Community Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. Her 4-year-old daughter, Rachel, would be declared dead. Police began to investigate and quickly arrested Angela’s boyfriend, Barry Jones, for murder. He was later convicted and sentenced to death. December 28th, 2017. Wichita, Kansas. On December 28th, 2017 28-year-old Andrew Finch was fatally shot by a police officer outside his home in Wichita, Kansas. The officers realized too late that the call was a “swatting” prank. The next day a man in Los Angeles was arrested for making the false call. Investigators soon learned that the call that led to Andrew’s death was just one in a series of swatting incidents and false bomb threats all over the country.

They are devastated and have his cremains returned to them in Maine. However, they later discover that his apartment is covered in an abnormal amount of blood and his neighbor’s camera picked up chilling audio on the day he died.
