I am honoured to welcome Alexandra Lunn, Founder of Alexandra Lunn Studios to The Spoken Woman Podcast. In this weeks episode I get to speak to Ebony Gilbert, the poet behind the recently released collection 'This Skin I'm In'. She talks about finding your voice amidst trauma, addiction, motherhood, and so much more. Ebony Gilbert is a poet and Doula, former model and actress. Ebony has recently released her first poetry collection called 'This Skin I'm in' where she picks up the pieces or selves of who she once was and gives them all a voice rather than hiding them away. Ebony has opened up about trauma in the past year whereas previously she stayed silent. This episode we get to look at Ebony's life through the perspective of her poetry and reflections. It was an honour to interview Ebony at such an early stage of what I know is going to be a successful career in poetry.

Today’s guest is Bre Graham. A writer, editor and creative strategist - oh and also, the ultimate foodie traveller. Bre was recently shortlisted for AITO Young Travel Writer of the Year. She has been published in an insane amount of well-known and independent magazines from Dazed, Harper’s Bazaar (cover feature with Karen Elson), Timeout, The Guardian, Stylist to AnOther, and VICE. She was commissioning editor for two years at what was the UK’s biggest independent women’s print magazine Oh Comely, has created content for brands like Nanushka and Papier and worked on editorial strategy for Agent Provocateur. Bre is originally from Sydney, grew up in Singapore and now resides in London where she produces sell-out supper clubs, works for food brands like Natoora, Farmdrop and Wholegood and is writing her first non-fiction book. Next month, she starts a new role as Lifestyle Editor of Courier Magazine. In January 2020 she launched the platform Dishes To Delight and a year later the weekly newsletter of the same name which combines food writing, photography and original recipes every Sunday night.

My guest today is Abigail Bergstrom; Author, Book Agent and Founder. Abigail is the agent of digital literary talent such as Munroe Bergdorf, Gina Martin, Florence Given and Liv Little. She founded Gleam Titles, a digitally-minded literary agency and has now gone solo to launch her new 360 publishing consultancy Bergstrom Studios. Abigail is also releasing her debut novel ‘What a Shame’ in 2022.
