DJs fear her! Ravers love her! Journalists admire her! Local historian Jade Chao highlights the musical heritage of the North London town of Edmonton where she grew up. Through a different genre per episode, music lovers throughout the ages tell her about the culture of suburbia, in tales of garages, sheds, high street bars, warehouses, roller rinks, and town halls.

Mike Bessler and Kevin McElvaney are pro wrestling writers who moonlight as music aficionados. As the title of this podcast suggests, we primarily focus on material by rock powerhouses Rush, Kiss, and Led Zeppelin, but every so often, we’ll draw the proverbial “wild card” and discuss an artist beyond the bounds of this titanic troika. For each episode of RSZM, we select an album by one of these artists and discuss our personal recollections of the record, talk about the history behind the album, and go track-by-track and discuss each song.
Also, the title of the show was Kevin’s idea. -
This podcast is a space for musicians to connect, share, and to laugh and cry in recognition of the struggles, joys, challenges, and delights that come with being a full time musician.
It's also a space and an invitation for others to see inside my mind as I navigate touring, song releases, practise, finances, music life in general - and putting myself out in the public space and being both judged and rewarded for it all at once.
It grew out of my own loneliness at times, feeling misunderstood, and unacknowledged for what I put into my craft as a musician - as well as from the absolute joy it is to have followed a vision I had as a 14 year old kid to make music as my life's work. I hope these chats serve as a friend when you need one, a light in dark times, and the inspiration you need when your own tank is empty.
