48: The Importance of Serving Others and Customer Relationships with LA's Number 1 Real Estate Agent Tami Pardee

    · For The Love Of Money Podcast | Business | Philanthropy | Entrepreneur | Lifestyle and Success with Chris Harder

Today’s episode is a modern-day Cinderella story…except there’s no fairy godmother or prince in it. Real-estate rock star, Tami Pardee, learned to work hard at a young age and she’s been working ever since. Having been raised poor and later brought into wealth, she was taught early on the value of money and the importance of hard work and getting things done.   This minivan-driving mom of four uses this same work ethic and drive to dominate L.A.’s residential real estate market today. Listen in to find out how she balances this massively successful business with a family and why she feels called to give back by helping others find or reignite their purpose.   --   Question Highlights:   Where did your drive for insane success come from? Did you always want this level of success?   What are some of your wall-kicking business moments/challenges? How did you work through those challenges?   How do you balance a busy family and a busy, successful career?   How do you want your children to define success?   What effect has your MS diagnosis had on your life/career?   What is the main driver of your success?   Why is giving back so important to you?   Is there a correlation between success and giving?     In This Episode You Will Learn:   About the impact that hard work has had on Tami’s life   Why Tami dominates the Los Angeles residential real estate market   Why it’s so important to serve others   Tips to maintain your customer relationships   How to deal with the haters   Why Tami involves her children in various areas of her business   About the importance of living a life of purpose   Why you must be successful in all areas of your life: personal, relationships, family, community and business   And so much more…   Tami’s Thoughts…   “I’m not really about money, it’s more about the comfort of knowing that everything is OK and I control my own destiny.”   “I was driven by helping people.”   “If you take care of your farm, the farm will take care of you.”   “If you show up as loving and kind and are good to people, they’re going to reflect that.”   “In order to live, you need connection, purpose and passion.”   “It feels good to give back – it feeds the soul.”   “If you don’t have fear, you’re doing something wrong.”   “We need to own our own power.”   --   Tami Halton Pardee’s expertise in Southern California real estate and entrepreneurship is unrivaled. As owner and principal broker of Halton Pardee + Partners (formerly Pardee Properties), Tami is the #1 agent in Los Angeles and the company is the #1 brokerage on the Westside. Responsible for selling over $2 billion worth of residential and commercial properties since beginning in 2005, Tami has built a new model for real estate to better serve clients. In recognition of her work as both an entrepreneur as well as her focus on charity, Good Housekeeping presented Tami the 2016 Awesome Women Award, plus she received a nomination by the Los Angeles Business Journal for Philanthropist of the Year in 2016.    Tami received her undergraduate degree from Boston University and her MBA from Loyola Marymount University and spent several years working in the corporate world before creating a business that integrated into the community. Understanding that the buying or selling of a home is one of life’s most important life-changing decisions, Tami launched Halton Pardee + Partners with the goal of helping people have a seamless experience. Her unique business model creates a true work-family of staff employees (rather than the traditional independent contractor model), building a culture that results in continued success and a consistent ranking of #1 for sales in its region.     Although Tami has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), she continues to drive toward the values and goals that allow her to help others. The Halton Pardee + Partners tagline of “Open Doors. Lifting Hearts. Changing Lives.” is the credo that drives the company. Furthering Tami’s deep commitment to the community, she created the Life-Changer Program that empowers the transformation of lives and communities. Via active participation and significant financial contributions to local charities that have a direct impact on the lives of those in need, the Life-Changer Program has worked with Harvest Home, Teen Project, Homeless Task Force, Venice Community Housing Corporation, and many more to tackle the issues important to Westside residents.   Resources:   Life Change Warrior Program lifechangewarrior.com Halton Pardee Real Estate Haltonpardee.com FB: facebook.com/tamihaltonpardee/   --   For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.

  • 49: Functioning recovery of Autism and sensory processing disorders IS POSSIBLE! With Tami Goldstein

    · My Seven Chakras with Aditya

When her youngest child was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, Tami spent the next few years in a tailspin trying to find ways to help her daughter. She watched in amazement as a more holistic, all natural approach did what no western medicine techniques could accomplish. Some of those approaches included various techniques to stimulate the sense of touch. Tami started by studying Reiki Therapy. Reiki a Japanese word meaning universal life energy. The first part Rei, refers to our spiritual dimension or soul. The second part Ki, means vital life or energy. This ancient natural method of healing touches the body without physically touching the body. (How else do you connect with a child who feels pain when you touch them?) Tami became so fascinated with the benefits provided by Massage Therapy and CranioSacral Therapy she decided to become certified and is currently State and Nationally certified in Therapeutic Massage, Bodywork and in CranioSacral Therapy. Her daughter’s Functioning Recovery is maintained by a Sensory Lifestyle and CranioSacral Therapy. Like this episode? Balance Hormones Naturally with Dr. Tami Meraglia

    · The Functional Medicine Radio Show With Dr. Carri

In this episode of The Functional Medicine Radio Show, Dr. Carri’s special guest Dr. Tami Meraglia explains how you can balance hormones naturally to lose weight and up your energy (including the use of a superhero pose).Dr. Tami is a double board certified physician in Aesthetic Medicine, and Integrative & Natural Medicine. She is also on the faculty of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and lectures around the world on Aesthetics and bio-identical hormones for men and women. In her hit book The Hormone Secret: Discover Effortless Weight Loss and Renewed Energy in Just 30 Days, she talks about the impacts of testosterone deficiency and how it makes us fat, fatigued and no fun.Main Questions Asked: Does testosterone have any impact at all for women? With most hormonal imbalances, we could see those at any period of our adult life. Is that true with testosterone as well? When it comes to testing testosterone levels, what’s the best way to get that checked? Are bio-identical hormones safe? If someone implements changes today to balance hormones naturally, how long does it take to start seeing changes in the hormones? If you’re really diligent making changes, after what period of time do you think a woman should start thinking about finding a great doctor and see if they really need bio-identical hormones?Key Points made by Dr. Tami: So many of our hormone imbalances and deficiencies show up in ways that we don’t really connect them with hormones. Estrogen is a hormone that makes us women. If you have an estrogen deficiency, some of the more common things you might be experiencing are hot flashes, night sweats, painful intercourse, dry vaginal area, and less commonly thought of as an estrogen deficiency, is brain fog When our skin starts to go south, it has a lot to do with the quality and quantity of estrogen that we have in our elastin and collagen. Progesterone is the peaceful hormone. It’s been called the “valium that bathes the female mind”. It helps you sleep through the night. There are so many hormones that work together in symphony but testosterone is the one that gets left out all the time. We don’t need a lot as women but it has an outsized role in how we look, feel, and function. What we seek in testosterone providing women is energy and the muscle to fat ratio. It’s one of the best things for your bones. It’s so great for so many parts. We even have testosterone receptors in our brain. Hormones take a precipitous fall starting in our late 30s and 40s. Your adrenal glands become the factory of these hormones after your age of fertility which starts to happen in your late 30s. The adrenal glands are required to produce all of the hormones that have to deal with stress but they’re also required to produce all of the hormones that bless your life and they can’t do both. One way to balance hormones naturally is by using food and supplements. If you have access to a blood test, that’s great, but if not, you can take a quiz and there are symptoms that will help make it more likely that you have a testosterone deficiency than not. That’s the first level. We now have the capabilities of a blood spot test. There’s also a serum test. Patients are getting their total testosterone tested. We really want to know what your free testosterone is. Why? I don’t care how much testosterone you have. I care about how much testosterone you have that’s going to do work for you. It’s only the free testosterone that can bind to the receptor and do any good. You can also test it in the saliva. The urine is a good option if you’re looking for the testosterone metabolites. You really need to be under the care of a physician who’s checking your levels and the metabolites and the whole story if you’re going to have a prescription for bio-identical hormones. Prescription testosterone is really good for your bones. Luckily, the majority of us can actually boost and reboot our ...
