Orden är från The War of the Worlds, eller Världarnas krig på svenska. HG Wells bok kom ut 1897 och berättelsen om marsianernas förödande attack mot jorden och människorna har tolkats i fler än 60 olika versioner. Följ med oss från själva romanen via Orson Welles uppmärksammade radiodrama, 50-talsfilmen där atombomben har en central roll, genom Jeff Waynes musikaliska version från 1978 och 2005 års actionvariant med Tom Cruise, fram till BBC-serien med bara några år på nacken. Vi diskuterar karaktärer, miljöer och känslor, vad Wells kan tänkas vilja ha sagt och hur marsianerna och deras stridsmaskiner har framställts i de olika verken. Det blir roligt!
