We said we were fine after last episode… We were LYING!
This week we’re diving into Kingdom of Ash chapters 60–69 (nice) and somehow the chaos just keeps escalating. Like?? No breaks, no mercy, just vibes (bad ones).
In this episode, everything is converging and it’s STRESSFUL! The emotional hits are hitting a little too hard and our sanity?? Is questionable at best.
Also, can someone explain why every time we think we can breathe, SJM just… doesn’t allow it??
We kept this one nice… but don’t worry, the internal screaming is still very much present.

This episode we’re covering Kingdom of Ash chapters 50–59 and honestly?? Who gave Sarah J. Maas the right. The tension is TENSIONING, and every chapter feels like it’s personally attacking us.
Also… can we talk about the stress level?? Because we are not okay and would like a formal apology.
Thanks for sticking with us while we were MIA. Terrasen was a lot, emotionally and spiritually (as life has been). But we’re back and ready to spiral with you all over again

For our 5th side quest, we’re diving into Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry. Her very first leap from contemporary romance into fantasy, and honestly?? She understood the assignment.
Set in a monster-ridden world where kingdoms cling to fragile peace treaties, the story follows Princess Odessa, who is suddenly thrust into a political marriage meant to secure alliances… and secretly spy on her new kingdom. Casual. But instead of a straightforward royal duty situation, we get enemies-to-lovers tension, a broody warrior with secrets (obviously), and a journey across dangerous lands where literally nothing is what it seems.
Expect:🔥 slow-burn romance🗡️ forced proximity👀 hidden identities🦅 terrifying monster vibes💔 and just enough emotional damage to keep us spiraling
We’re chatting all things: first impressions of Devney Perry’s romantasy debut, whether the hype is justified, THAT romance dynamic, and our thoughts heading into book two (because yes, we will be continuing).
AND for the first time ever, you can WATCH this episode!! Our full video recording is now live on our YouTube channel, so come hang out with us there.
Grab your wine, your annotations, and your hottest takes… because this one has a LOT to unpack.

Starting to spiral because this stretch of Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas (chs 40–49) said “oh you thought we were pacing ourselves?” and then chose violence instead.
We’ve got:
* Schemes on schemes on SCHEMES.
* Emotional damage being served family-style.
* War strategy meetings that somehow hurt more than the actual battles.
* And our queen carrying the weight of the entire world like it’s just another Tuesday.
The tension? Unbearable. The reunions? Not nearly enough. The looming doom? Practically a main character at this point.
Every chapter feels like we’re marching closer to something catastrophic, and we are NOT emotionally prepared. The sacrifices being whispered about? The risks being taken??
We laughed. We gasped. We absolutely lost our minds.
Tune in as we break down the alliances forming, the cracks starting to show, and why this section feels like the deep inhale before the final, devastating exhale.
We are fine.We are absolutely not fine.

We are BACK after a very unplanned two-week hiatus thanks to some chaotic tech issues (we promise it wasn’t a Valg infiltration… probably). Thank you for sticking with us. 🖤
This episode we’re covering Chapters 30–39 of Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas, and the tension is absolutely suffocating in the best way. Everything feels heavy. Every choice feels impossible. The quiet moments somehow hurt more than the loud ones. You can feel the endgame building, piece by fragile piece, and it’s the kind of slow burn that makes you clutch the book a little tighter.
We talk about the emotional exhaustion, the small sparks of hope, the way certain scenes linger long after you finish the chapter, and how this stretch somehow manages to be both devastating and steady at the same time.
Thank you for being patient with us while we sorted out the tech mess. We’re so happy to be back talking about this masterpiece with you. Let’s get into it

Pain. Suffering. Emotional devastation. And yet… somehow we still pressed record.
This week, we’re diving into chapters 20–29 of Kingdom of Ash and WOW! Sarah J. Maas said absolutely no peace, only trauma. From heart-shattering moments to tiny flickers of hope that keep us barely functioning, these chapters had us screaming, crying, and aggressively texting each other at 2am.
We talk character breakdowns, impossible choices, found family feels, and why literally no one is allowed happiness for more than five minutes. Tune in for unhinged reactions, top-tier suffering, and the slow realization that this book is going to ruin us.

We’re officially in the deep end now, friends. Chapters 10–19 of Kingdom of Ash said “no warm-up laps” and immediately started swinging. This week’s episode is packed with the kind of emotional tension that makes you stare at the page like SJM wouldn’t… right? 😬 The endgame is coming whether we’re ready or not.
Kingdom of Ash is proving again that it did not come to play. Grab your tissues, your theories, and maybe a stress beverage, because things are only getting darker from here.

We’ve officially entered Kingdom of Ash. The final book. The emotional damage era. This episode covers chapters 1–9, and already Sarah J. Maas said, “peace was never an option.” Buckle up, because nothing feels safe and we are NOT OK.

We’re going fully off the main quest and deep diving into Rose in Chains by Julie Soto. The published remake of The Auction that had the fandom in an absolute chokehold. From morally gray men and power imbalances that do things to your brain, to sharp banter, slow-burn tension, and those “pause the audiobook and scream” moments… we’re unpacking it all 🌹⛓️
Expect our normal overtired selves talking about our favorite scenes, character deep dives, and plenty of “this could’ve stayed in the drafts but we’re glad it didn’t” energy. If you’ve read The Auction, you’ll want to hear how it translates to its polished, published form. And if you’re new? Consider this your spoiler-filled invitation to chaos

We’ve reached the end of the road for Tower of Dawn ch. 58 through the finale, and somehow we’re both healed and emotionally wrecked. This episode is full-circle moments, long-earned growth, and revelations that quietly reframe everything we thought we knew. Watching these characters finally step into who they’re meant to be feels powerful, tender, and a little bit heartbreaking in that SJM way that lingers long after the last page. There’s closure, there’s hope, and there’s that bittersweet realization that while one journey has ended, the storm ahead is only just beginning. We laughed, we teared up, and we absolutely lost it over how much this book sneaks up on you by the end. Oh! And we are celebrating 50 episodes of chaos and finally finishing TOD!New episode is live. Come celebrate, process, and emotionally prepare for what comes next.

If you thought things couldn’t possibly get worse… Welcome back. This episode takes us through Empire of Storms chs. 66–78, aka the stretch where hope is dangled in front of us and then violently ripped away. Alliances fracture, sacrifices are made, and the emotional whiplash is so intense we had to pause just to breathe. Every page feels like a warning sign and somehow we still weren’t ready.
Over in Tower of Dawn ch. 57, the weight of everything finally lands. Quiet moments that hurt just as much as the loud ones, and choices that will ripple far beyond this book. It’s tender, devastating, and somehow exactly what we needed after being emotionally drop-kicked by EOS.
This episode is pain, processing, and pure SJM chaos. New episode is live. Come cry, scream, and spiral with us.

This week we’re diving into EOS 62–65 and TOD 52–56, and honestly? These chapters had us questioning our life choices, SJM’s life choices, and whether anyone in this universe has ever heard of therapy.
EOS is out here serving drama like it’s a tasting menu, and TOD… shockingly…continues to give us the urge to take a nap.
Join us as we spiral, rant, gasp, and aggressively snack our way through the emotional carnage.Bring your headphones and your emotional support carbs. You’ll need them.

Chaos, consequences, and characters making feral life choices. Welcome back to another episode where we collectively scream into the void. This week we’re diving into Empire of Storms ch. 60–61, where the stakes keep climbing, the tension is criminal, and certain people (you know who you are) refuse to catch a break. Meanwhile in Tower of Dawn ch. 44–51, we’re finally getting into the thick of it. Healing moments that hit way too hard, and the kind of character growth that feels like someone punched us lovingly in the sternum and some eight legged horrors to keep us on our toes.
Grab your emotional support beverage, fluff your emotional support pillow, and join us as we yell, spiral, and connect dots Sarah J. Maas hid in a maze, blindfolded, at midnight.

This week we’re diving into EOS chapters 53–59 and TOD chapters 41–43, and honestly? Sarah J. Maas really woke up and chose chaos, emotions, and questionable life choices for everyone involved. We’ve got big moves, and... Shockingly.. Not a single snoozy TOD chapter in sight. (Who is this efficient version of Tod?? Can he stay??)Grab your headphones, your emotional support beverage, and maybe a paper bag to breathe into, because things are escalating fast and we are absolutely not okay.

We’re back in our emotional blender this week as we jump between Throne of Glass and Empire of Storms, and honestly? Sarah J. Maas is personally ensuring we never know peace.
Aelin is out here playing ten-dimensional chess while everyone else is just trying to keep up. Scheming, sacrificing, and terrifying us with how far she’s willing to go. Rowan continues to out-dramatize every brooding warrior in fantasy history, and Lysandra? Our shapeshifting queen remains unstoppable wrapped in loyalty and teeth. On the flip side, Dorian’s snark is getting sharper right along with the stakes, while Lorcan is one bad decision away from writing poetry in a storm and we can’t even blame him because… choices were made. Elide keeps quietly stealing the show by surviving, strategizing, and thriving when everyone underestimates her.
And then there’s Chaol and Irene over in Tower of Dawn territory, dragging us through pain, healing, stubbornness, and emotional growth like we signed up for a therapy session instead of a fantasy epic. We didn’t, but here we are. Deeply invested and slightly unwell about it.
Grab your headphones, your favorite comfort drink, and come scream, laugh, and spiral with us through these chapters. New twists, new heartbreaks, new reasons we’ll never recover. It’s all here.
