Bugünkü metin şu siteden alındı: https://www.ancient-origins.net/history-important-events/bronze-age-0013179

    Metin:

The development of civilization was a long and complex process, and it always rested on industry and technology. As our ancestors stepped from one millennium to another, and the Stone Age evolved further and further, new things began appearing - a new vision and new skills. This gave rise to the Bronze Age.

As the use of stone tools became outdated and new metallurgic skills became known around the world, life became much different than before. Nomadic lifestyles were exchanged for permanent settlements and agriculture; societies were centered around powerful bronze-bearing chieftains, and trade networks became widespread and dominant. It was a new age.

    https://nutritionstripped.com/counting-calories/

    Ana metin:

It Overlooks the Nutritional Value of Food

Another big problem with calorie counting is that it overlooks the nutritional value of any given food item — calories don’t tell you how nutritious a food item is.

With a calorie counting approach, you can eat 2,000 calories from processed food or 2,000 calories from fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and seeds.

Calorie-wise they’re the same, but nutrient-wise, they’re very different. Your body needs calories for energy, but it also needs vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Only looking at calories in a number-based way misses a major piece of what contributes to your health and wellbeing.

    --------------------------

    Sorular

What do calories not tell you about a food item?

They don't tell you how nutritious it is.

    What does your body need?

The body needs calories, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

What is the difference between 2000 calories of processed food and 2000 calories of whole food?

Whole food is usually much more nutritious.

    https://nutritionstripped.com/counting-calories/

    Ana metin:

    1. Counting Calories Isn’t Practical for Daily Life

Most of the time, we’re not eating in situations where it’s possible to track every ingredient, use measuring cups, or even know what’s actually in the dish.

We go out to eat, we eat at our friends’ or our family’s homes and we eat nourishing whole foods that aren’t packed with massive amounts of calories. That’s what normal life looks like! That’s why counting and tracking calories don’t work for our everyday lives, and why it becomes cumbersome or impossible to keep up with.

For example, think about what happens when we become accustomed to eating in food situations where we’re always counting or tracking calories. What happens when we’re in one of the above-listed social settings?

    --------------------------

    Sorular ve cevapları:

What does eating in normal life look like?

We eat nutritious foods that are not high in calories at our friends' or family's homes.

Why doesn't calorie counting work for our everyday lives?

It becomes cumbersome and impossible to keep up with.

What is impossible to do in most eating situations?

It is impossible to track calories or to know what is in the food that we're eating.

Bütün makaleyi okumak isteyenler için: https://www.wherethemusicmeets.com/2020/06/08/john-robert-bailey-barely-knew-me/

    Ana metnimiz:

John-Robert has released his debut EP Bailey Barely Knew Me, which pairs that voice with a musical and songwriting talent beyond his years. It’s a contemporary pop record with an old soul feel. In a tone that croons, soars, and lifts up into a brilliant falsetto, the freshness of John-Robert’s youthful sound is tinged with bits of ragged nostalgia and older wisdom — even as it searches.

“I want my music to feel familiar, but like something you’ve never heard before. That’s the goal.” With the excellent set of songs on his debut album, John-Robert is certainly on his way.

    --------------------------

    Sorular ve cevapları:

    How does John Robert sing?

    He croons and uses falsetto.

What style of musis is John Robert's new record?

A combination of pop and soul.

What is John Robert's goal for his music?

He wants it to feel familiar but new at the same time.

Sanırım bütün metni buraya koysam iyi olur. Ben metni okurken siz okumayın sadece dinleyin. Ama açıklama yaparken metni görmeden takip etmek zor olur. Metnimiz söyleydi:

As with pretty much everything else in Turkey, the prices of cell phone minutes and data have sky-rocketed lately. I know that my audience is made up mostly of young people who probably spend a lot of time on public transportation, and it occurred to me recently that they might be reluctant to watch my videos on the bus because it will use up so much of their data. As we all know, data is expensive. So I then got the idea to start a podcast that would allow them to improve their English on the bus or anywhere else. Hopefully many people will find this podcast useful in their pursuit of better English skills.

    --------------------------

    Sorduğum sorular ve cevapları:

What kind of people make up the majority of my audience on youtube?

Young people make up the majority of my audience.

Why do I think people won't watch my videos on the bus?

Because watching videos on the bus will use up too much data.

The price of what has gone up lately?

Everything has gotten more expensive lately, including phone packages.

According to the text, where do young people spend a lot of time?

Young people spend a lot of time on public transportation.
