Progressive overload is a great way to truly make progress in your life. It simply means: to be better, you must do better. It seems simple in theory, but all too often therapists fall into the trap of being comfortable and complacent by saying "Everything is where it should be and I don't need to do anything else." This is fine if that is how you truly define success, but it seems that this is said because they are afraid to go out and really get what they want. To truly achieve what you want, remember this: The dial won't move unless you move it. Sometimes this comes naturally, but for some it takes force.
