LA based band, Local Natives stopped by my place to have coffee last January. I had been hearing their single “When Am I going to Lose You’ on Spectrum channel on Sirius pretty regularly in my car. It was a great afternoon, we talked about how the band formed over sixteen years ago, how to be a part of a collaboration and also fulfill your own solo creative impulses. We touch on how they’ve managed to navigate non-stop touring, finding the right manager, and how the band will shift as they start families and start writing the next album. Hope you enjoy this conversation as much I did!
Make sure to follow my playlist on Spotify which we'll be updating with new music as we go!

My Caffeine Withdrawal is a podcast about coffee and what motivates and inspires artists to create. Each episode begins with coffee - whether it is a favorite blend, a preferred tool, or a particular style, everyone has a ritual. With their coffee’s in hand, they sit down and talk for about inspirations, processes, and anything else that stimulates creativity. With coffee, talking, and the occasional song, My Caffeine Withdrawal will get right to the heart of why artists do what they do and how they do it.
