Itâs been the week of weeks here on the Our Flag Means Fanfiction Podcast. We dropped the Fandom Lore episode last Monday and it exceeded all expectations as far as listener interest.
On this weekâs Epitizer, Iâm reading two fics related to the new lore reveal about Izzyâs ring. âIf Youâll Have Meâ by Mthestan asks âWhat if Izzy wears the ring at his neck not because it's something he received but because it is a constant offering, a perpetual proposal, a silent question he asks every time Ed looks his way?â

On this weekâs Epitizer, Iâm narrating my most popular fic. Itâs light. Itâs fluffy. This is 'Whittle Me This' which is about Edâs attempt to make things up to Lucius. Whittling doesnât work. He tries other things. It eventually leads to them being attacked by the English NavyâŠ. Izzy is alive through this whole thing. I imagine this as taking place in Season 3 after Izzy has crawled out of the grave and Stede/Ed have reunited with the Revenge.

It was the shocker of the century! This week, prior to recording our first episode, we got the news that the wildly popular, hugely successful, and critically acclaimed Our Flag Means Death was allegedly canceled by Max. Of course, we believe in the power of turning poison into positivity, so we're going to keep on believing that Season 3 is happening (Because it will! We will make it happen!).
