In early June 2024, Taylor Casey left her home in Chicago to attend a month-long yoga retreat on Paradise Island, Bahamas.
With over 15 years of yoga practice, she was eager to earn her teaching certification and bring back her newfound skills to share with her community.
However, on the evening of June 19th, after leaving a class, Taylor vanished.
This is not a cold case. Taylor has been missing for just three months, and her family is still actively searching for her. We need to keep her story aliveâcontinue sharing her name in the media, post missing person flyers around the Bahamas, and consider donating to support the search efforts.

Darryl Fornatora and his friend Matt Rigby traveled from Florida to the Dominican Republic for a week-long surfing trip. They arrived on January 25, 2016, but just two days later, Darryl disappeared without a trace.
The following day, Matt abruptly left the island, returning home with Darrylâs belongings. He didnât notify the embassy, local authorities, or even Darryl's family. It wasn't until the day after Mattâs return to Florida that he finally called Darrylâs parents to deliver the heartbreaking news.
As the few clues in Darryl's case emerged, the mystery surrounding his disappearance only grew more puzzling.

At 21, Mieke Oort left Massachusetts after graduating high school to pursue her college education in the Netherlands.
Like many college students, she was embracing this new chapterâimmersed in learning, exploring, making friends, and dating.
However, her life took a tragic turn when she connected with a man on Tinder. After a few dates, Mieke decided not to continue seeing him, but he began stalking her and, on March 6, 2022, brutally murdered her.
The case, which became widely known as the "Tinder Murder" in the Netherlands, stands out because unlike many other cases, we know what happened to Mieke, and her killer was apprehended.
I believe this case is important to highlight because many young people travel abroad to study, often unaware of the potential dangers they might face.

Ryan Roth, born Ryan Flynn, vanished from a cliff in Bali, Indonesia, on January 20, 2020. The 39-year-old, originally from Southampton, England, left behind his passport, driverâs license, a suicide note, and other personal items at the site.

Glen âAustinâ Oldfield, known by his middle name Austin, departed from Louisville, Kentucky, heading to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Southwest Washington State for a two-week solo camping trip.

Leo Widicker, an 86-year-old retiree, dedicated his retirement to traveling and assisting others through volunteer work and church missions. While on his 41st mission in Costa Rica with his wife Virginia in November 2001, he mysteriously disappeared from the Tabacon Hot Springs Resort.
Despite an immediate search effort initiated within 15 minutes of his disappearance, no trace of Leo was ever found.

August Reiger asked his parents for a trip to a Spanish-speaking country to celebrate his high school graduation, as he was fluent in Spanish and loved learning about new cultures.
So just weeks after graduation, his parents and younger brother left Oklahoma for a two-week vacation in Baños, Ecuador.
On Fatherâs Day, June 16, 2013, the family set off on a well-maintained hike near their hotel. After a short time, August walked ahead, planning to meet them at the top of an overlook.
When the rest of the family arrived at the overlook about 10 minutes later, August had mysteriously vanished and has never been seen again.

Leta Cordes, 49, disappeared from St. Maarten on January 11th, 2008. Originally from Orange County, California, Leta and her husband had recently built a vacation home on the island.
They had just enjoyed their first Christmas holiday with friends when Leta left her house after dinner and drinks to gamble at the nearby resort... but she never returned.
