  • It's another big hitter episode but not as we know it. Over the past year I have been putting this show together, knowing that time will be short for me come spooky season. So I compiled my favourite parts from the video nasty series of the top tier, successfully prosecuted films over on Patreon & have put them in order of my least favourite to the movie that I think is the best. All the nasties with a total of 19 guests, a silly amount of booze & the filthiest 39 movies that you ever would see.

    1.52 - Night of the Demon (w/Niki Jones)22.59 - Flesh For Frankenstein aka Andy Warhol's Frankenstein (w/ Lono)54.43 - The Devil Hunter1.07.47 - Bloodeaters aka Toxic Zombies (w/ Benjamin Bowles)1.28.07 - Evil Speak (w/ Choff)

Between the interview segments there are various clips from an incredibly important documentary which is actually an episode from the BBC series 'Open Space' in which the public made programmes under their own editorial control. It's an episode called 'Suitable for Viewing in the Home?' from 1984. This gives some detailed context to pretty much all the conversations for this episode.

  • As a warm up for the deepest of dives on the video nasty phenomenon that will start in around a weeks time, I chat with Tim Kinsella; the legendary vocalist from Cap'n Jazz, Joan of Arc and countless others, about the rotten disasterpiece that is 'Faces of Death'. This episode is sick filth. Enjoy!

  • So, would you believe it. Today we return to the world of metal on A Year In Horror. Yes! Welcome to the mad minds of Swedish Thrash metal fright fiends F.K.Ü. Their latest album is entitled The Horror and the Metal. This is what it's all about. Today we speak with founder and bass player Patrik Sporrong aka Pat Splat about the band, his history with horror and of course John Carpenter's Halloween.

  • Welcome, one and all to a rather special episode of the A Year In Horror mid month music specials where I chat with a musician about horror movies. This week I've been joined by underground legend Greg Anderson, head of Southern Lord Recordings & founder of bands such as Sunn O))), Goatsnake, Engine Kid and his latest dollop of doom The Lord. In fact we are celebrating the release of the new album "Worship: Bernard Herrmann Tribute" by The Lord in this very episode. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did organising and completing it. I LOVE THIS JOB.

  • So as a little taster to the massive 1940s episodes which go live here on April 1st we are dropping this single film focused episode here today in celebration of a fantastic new record. You see, Albert Lewin directed Pandora and the Flying Dutchman in 1951 and The Moon and Sixpence in 1941 but The Picture of Dorian Gray is easily his best known work, sadly, he is not known for a lot else. So When I asked musician Charles Moothart from Fuzz to pick a movie to cover for this show, imagine my delight when he came back with Dorian Gray as his choice. This is a discussion about his new solo record and the Angela Lansbury starring 40s horror movie The Picture of Dorian Gray. Seriously. What a belter!
