  • This episode is all about the stories we tell ourselves about our golf games and how those tales can either lift us up or weigh us down. Ever finish a round and then chat about it over lunch with your buddies? Those recaps, the ones you share or just replay in your head, they really shape how we feel about our game. This episode dives into recognizing when we're stuck in a negative loop, like blaming the wind or bad bounces, and how to flip the script. It's about seeing where we can take a bit more control, maybe by ditching the blame game or by getting out and practicing in the rain if that's what gets us. By tweaking the stories we tell about our golf rounds, focusing more on what we can control and less on what we can't, we can actually start enjoying the game more and maybe even knock a few strokes off our scores. The episode is really a nudge to own our golf stories in a way that benefits us on and off the course.

  • Calm, Certain and Confident or the 3 Cā€™s are preferred emotions that enable you to swing freely and think clearly on the golf course.

But what exactly does it mean to create or feel certain?

In this episode, I differentiate between certainty and confidence. It starts with defining what you CANā€T be certain about.

Once you surrender to that, you can then focus on what you can be certain about.

I share with you 4 different areas to create more certainty including club selection, an expectation exercise, steps of a pre-shot routine and mental prep before a round.

Creating certainty helps the brain feel safe and lowers anxiety which allows you to swing freely and think clearly.

It doesnā€™t matter how well you are hitting the ball you can always find and build some certainty during the round.
