October 2024 Book Club:
We’ve got a pair of spooky tales for you this October from the Telos Novella range. First up is “The Dalek Factor” by Simon Clark, originally published March 2004, and then we turn to “The Cabinet of Light” by Daniel O’Mahoney, which came out July 2003. Both feature a Doctor of indeterminate origin but are sadly no longer in print.
You can find the “Time Hunter” version of The Cabinet of Light read by Terry Malloy, along with additional Time Hunter novels at Fantom Publishing’s website.

We’re catching up with Bernice Summerfield as she journeys from an intergalactic Dyson’s Sphere to ancient Mesopotamia as we review “Walking to Babylon” by Kate Orman. Originally published as part of the New Adventures in February 1998, the book is long out of print but an audio adaptation is available for purchase from Big Finish, starring Lisa Bowerman as Benny. October 2023 Book Club:
This month, to tie into the upcoming “The Star Beast” 60th anniversary special, we are reading the 4th Doctor graphic novel “The Iron Legion,” published by Panini in April 2004. The collection includes “The Iron Legion,” “City of the Damned,” “The Star Beast,” “The Dogs of Doom,” and “The Time Witch.” Two of the stories have been adapted by Big Finish into full cast audio dramas, and can be purchased here.
While this graphic novel volume is out of print, the stories within can be found in original Doctor Who Weekly issues - or collected in upcoming “The Fourth Doctor Anthology,” also from Panini, due out November 2nd, 2023. Happy reading!
