Der Demenz-Podcast erscheint monatlich mit Informationen für An- und Zugehörige von Menschen mit Demenz. Jede Sendung behandelt ein Thema und dauert etwa 30 Minuten. Autorin und Moderatorin des Demenz-Podcasts ist Christine Schön, seit 20 Jahren Hörfunkautorin mit Schwerpunkt Alter und Demenz und Redakteurin der Sendungsreihe Hörzeit - Radio wie früher für Menschen mit Demenz. Der Demenz-Podcast bietet ganz konkrete Unterstützung bei vielen Fragen von An- und Zugehörigen: Wie kann man sinnvoll gemeinsam die Freizeit gestalten oder wie mit der Demenz des/der Angehörigen in der Öffentlichkeit umgehen. Es wird Tipps geben, wie man angemessen reagieren kann, wenn sich ein Mensch mit Demenz verändert – wenn er oder sie zum Beispiel aggressiv wird oder ängstlich, anhänglich oder misstrauisch. Rechtliche Aspekte werden angesprochen - wie ist das mit Vollmachten, mit dem Schwerbehindertenausweis, mit der rechtlichen Betreuung bei Geschäftsunfähigkeit. Thema wird aber auch immer wieder sein, wie sowohl Angehörige als auch Betroffene weiterhin ein erfülltes und glückliches Leben und eine führen können, ohne sich aufzugeben oder auszubrennen.
