  • Meet the HSHV Pet of the week at https://www.hshv.org/petsoftheweek-2/

7-year-old Chia arrived in critical condition—dehydrated, dangerously thin, and suffering from multiple abdominal hernias. She needed a rare and expensive surgery to survive, and thanks to very generous supporters like you, she got it!

Today, Chia is healing beautifully —and purring every step of the way. Her journey has been long and complex, and only one thing’s still missing: a loving home! She might do best in a home without small children or other kitties. But she LOVES making friends with older humans. If "Velcro Cat" is your type, 🙂 come meet this lady today and see if your lap is the one for her.

Pet of the Week is sponsored by Mighty Dog Roofing

  • Meet the HSHV Pet of the week at https://www.hshv.org/petsoftheweek-2/

Meet Tonka! He’s an energetic boy, friendly, confident boy. Here’s what his foster has to say: “He’s super duper sweet and gentle with his toys, and with humans even when he’s excited! He gets along well with kids and dogs so far, though we’re working on leash training because he wants to make so many friends that he pulls a lot. He’s potty trained and doesn’t chew on things in the house. Loves peanut butter and praise.”

We recommend that Tonka go to a home with kids over 5 due to his size and energy level, and that he meet potential doggy siblings beforehand. Please email [email protected] or call (734)662-5585 to arrange a meeting today!

He is FREE to adopt if he finds the right match!

All the animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.
