  • In this episode, we chat with David Beiner, Co-Founder and CEO of Hume. The concept appears simple; many pop artists leverage teams of writers who are responsible for the crafting of each track. So, why not apply this concept to a star who is based in the digital world?

Through a chance meeting in Californian forestland, David, and Jay (Hume Co-Founder) stumbled upon a Metastar known as @angelbaby3045 from the year 3045. This birthed a collaboration that has since seen the release of several tracks that have found their way to the top of the Audius charts and a collection of related NFT drops. It’s not too late! We’re told that the story is just beginning to unfold and so we’ll be keeping our eyes on their socials to see what happens next!

  • This week, we keep the conversation in-house! We chatted with Oscar Morke, Head of Product at anotherblock. This conversation continues from our first episode with Michel (Co-Founder and CEO at anotherblock). We discuss Oscar’s introduction into web3, by way of his community leadership at Hack for Sweden which lead to long-term relationships that would ultimately see his introduction to the team at anotherblock.

Oscar’s role at anotherblock is the glue that keeps the pieces together, as well as the direction that ensures everything is headed towards the right destination. With two drops at anotherblock under his belt, he gives us some insight into the direction that the project might take; whether it’s providing a marketplace-style opportunity for smaller artists to fund projects by pre-selling royalties or additional utility that artists may add to their drops. We’re certainly keen to see where this goes!

  • In this episode, we speak with Julien Genestoux, Founder and CEO of Unlock-Protocol. Julien has to be one of the most likeable guests on the show thus far! Julien commenced his entrepreneurial endeavours unintentionally founding and running the most popular job board for French college students at the time. From here, he started his second venture, Superfeedr, innovating on RSS feeds used in podcasts and alike. Julien made a successful exit from his second start-up, with a sale to Medium that saw him join their team as a lead engineer. Now, with Unlock, Julien is innovating online memberships. Problem: most revenue online is captured through the use of ads, and any site that has adopted a membership model requires separate UN and PW across multiple platforms. Unlock’s solution: NFTs as proof of membership. This allows users to hold an NFT in their respective wallets, allowing access to private content, unique opportunities, or exclusive communities. And all of this without the need to remember any login details!
