Welcome back to the first show, of Season 4!
We are delighted to bring you a conversation with Eva Engelen & Lander Desmedt from the truly circular Fashion Brand, HNST (pronounced Honest).
The team at HNST are working extremely hard, trying to create a Denim based collection as sustainable and as circular as possible.
Cotton is often called a thirsty crop, for which inefficient farming and irrigation techniques are to blame. A conventional pair of jeans requires on average 3 kg of raw cotton and consequentially, 7000 litres of water. HNST jeans contain 56% recycled cotton, 23% Greek cotton and 21% Tencel.
As a result they only require 361 litres of water per pair, which means we are reducing water consumption with 95%, compared with industry standards.
Our conversation delves into the entire production process as well as the inherent values that the company has for full corporate transparency and doing things, honestly.
You can check out their full collection at https://www.letsbehonest.eu/ or follow them @letsbehonest.eu on Instagram.

Per Holknekt is a Swedish Fashion Designer, Entrepreneur, multi Award winning Business owner but most importantly one of the most genuine and unashamedly brilliant people.... I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
We cover many aspects from within Per's life, including how he and fellow Designer Karin Jimfelt-Ghatan created the hugely successful womenswear brand Odd Molly and how they embraced imperfection, to create their very own sense of perfection.
Over the years Per has experienced incredible successes as well as some devastating lows points. He talks about his drug and alcohol abuse, making the wrong life decisions and how at one point, he found himself without any homely possessions and forced to live rough in a Swedish forest.
Although, the last couple of years have been tough for Per he's about to embark on his 42nd business Venture.
Welcoming and developing his vision of creating the 4th Industrial Revolution.
A business that is built from personal experience and constructed with a true sense of purpose, designed to value our planet, social welfare and to constantly challenge the sustainability of people, which seems to have been seriously overlooked for many years.
I have known Per for over 18 years, I really hope you enjoy listening to some of his wonderful stories and also acknowledge as to why he's regarded as a true legend within our Industry.

Sarah was raised on a farm in the North East of the UK and always had a fascination with the emotional connection that working folk had with their day to day clothing. Although practicality is of utmost importance, workwear is often cherished and highly valued by those people that live and work in what they wear.
This emotive connect formed the basis of her highly acclaimed Graduation collection from Hallam University in Sheffield.
After having just a day working in London with a large UK retailer, the pandemic forced Sarah to travel back home to Whitby. It was there she created her own upcycling brand TOM-O which is dedicated to saving clothes from landfill, TOM-O works with existing fabrics and garments to explore the potential of unloved and unworn clothing.
In the show we hear about how she feels that she's finally found her creative calling and even how she managed to secure some rail space in one of the Worlds finest retail stores....Selfridges, Oxford Street.
Sarah's mantra is "Creating positive Fashion, patch by patch" and you can see more of her work by visiting her website www.TOM-O.com
