Series 2 - Episode 40 - Unforgiven 1999
1999 was a time where the WWF could do no wrong! Top of the tree, making money like it was going out of fashion, this was a peak time for business. Creative however was in turmoil, the last pay per view before its head writer left for its competition, and with confusingly and inflated storylines, this pay per view could be called a little top heavy! 6 of its biggest stars in a main event and all without Stone Cold Steve Austin wrestling, this was a chance to flex its muscles! Rock, Mankind, Triple H, Big Show, Kane and the Unde....no wait...is that British Bulldog! Yes the Bulldog is back and is immediately in the main event scene again getting the title shot he so truly wants! One hell of a main event right? Oh boy, this is going to be an eye opener...and did we mention, the Kennel from Hell!
1999...Russo is going...who do we call for Creative now?

Series 2 - Episode 39 - In Your House 3
Better Call Creative is the ultimate Triple Header and for our latest podcast we review wrestlings version of it. In Your House 3, the Triple Header. A main event in which all three active WWF titles were on the line as Shawn and Diesel took on tag team champions Yokozuna and Owen Hart.....well kind of....see Owen wasn't there....but he was...but he was replaced....oh this is all confusing so you had better listen and find out!
The tide was high on the New Generation at this point, and wrestling couldn't be more out of touch with its audiance...want proof? A wrestling match fought over a wrestlers leather jacket! Nothing says blood feud more does it....the real issues!
This is a healthy dose of 90s nostalgia but don't be fooled that pay per view was anything other than awful!
You'd Better Call Creative and find out why!

Season 2 - Episode 38 - The Brawl 4 All
When you make a decision to focus your wrestling podcast on the worst of wrestling one thing is for certain....you will be watching the Brawl 4 All!
From the mind of Vince Russo, in 1998 the WWF had a lockeroom full of testosterone. Men who claimed to be the toughest, the baddest, the strongest. The biggest mouth of them all was Bradshaw and Russo wanted to shut him up! So he pitched to McMahon a shoot fight tournament to crown a brawl 4 all champion!
Little did he know but this would be a decision that would live in history! From the shadows came an unlikely winner but that...is just a small part of the story!
You'd Better Call Creative to hear the rest

How many other podcasts can you say give you this kind of content! From Smokey Mountain, to South African White Supremacist. From a riot policeman to censoring conservative. From a white rapper to legitimate dog, this man has had a hell of a career but should it be more fondly remembered? Did wrestling miss a star?
It's Bull Buchanan...of course they did!

Series 2 - Episode 37 - Summerslam 1996
The biggest party of the Summer was for the first time, not the biggest party! WCW had wrestled control of the top spot from the WWF in 1996 and Vince McMahon was desperate for their newest top stars to begin to shine. Enter Shawn Michaels, Vince's Sexy Boy was now the WWF champion. The formula that had always worked was the go to for Summerslam 1996, the plucky underdog against the big bad monster. Vader! Would this be Vader Time? Should this have been Vader Time? Well we review Summerslam 1996 to see what this show could have been, and reimagine just how this damaging loss to Shawn could have lead to something much more promising for the Mastadon! It's Time It's Time...it's time to call creative!

Series 2 - Episode 36 - Tugboat - Typhoon -Shockmaster
Our latest podcast will shock the world....well maybe not, the most shocking thing is it took so long for us to review one of the greatest botched debuts of all time! Fred Ottman had built a strong career in the WWF with gimmicks like Tugboat who hung and bung with Hulk Hogan on the deck of the titanic....and Typhoon, the red version of Earthquake!
However he would live in wrestling history when in 1993 he headed to WCW and became the Shockmaster! We will follow his journey through that wall, as we check out his career in full from Georgia, through Memphis, Germany and Japan!
There may be no shocks here but still somebody had Better Call Creative!

Series 2 - Episode 35 - Bash at the Beach 2000
The legend of Bash at the Beach has lived on for almost a quarter century. A pay per view which perfectly captures a moment in time, and arguably the very moment WCW stopped being competition for WWF. Mid 2000s WCW was a mixed up mess, a power struggle behind the scenes which would play out in front of the very eyes of fans. Hogan, Russo and Bischoff would all implode, and it would end in a pay per view that has three different World Champions. We look back at the entire pay per view which deserves a deep dive as trust us, there is way more than Russo's rant worth discussing on this show! We then reimagine what could have happened to sort this entire mess out if Hulk Hogan ever stepped foot back in a WCW ring! So grab a microphone and scream at the creative here!

Series 2 - Episode 34 - Super Showdown 2019
When you mention the streak in wrestling, there is two trails of thought. The legendary Wrestlemania streak of the phenom, 21 straight wins at wrestlemania, a feat unlikely to ever be matched. Or you could be talking about Goldbergs unbeaten streak, 173 wins unbroken! Two huge legends, and in Saudi Arabia, 2019, these two streaks would clash! Legends would rise! A match that has now created a legend of its own for all the wrong reasons, we head back 5 years to check out Super Showdown 2019. A show remembered for its main event, but worthy of so much more. HHH would fight his last bout, Mansoor would have his biggest win and Lars Sullivan would struggle to beat 3 luchadores in his debut squash match! This truly is a Legend of a Show!

Series 2 - Episode 33 - TNA Slammiversary 2017

This show features some of the old of TNA, and some of the new faces. Lashley versus Alberto see's out the ppv but before that we are treated to the birth of a new comedy double act! Matthews and Steiner, move over Ant and Dec!

Series 2 - Episode 32 - Worst Ruthless Aggression Gimmicks
After the success of the Attitude Era what the WWE needed most was breakthrough stars. The new Rock, the new Austin, they neded someone with Ruthless Aggression!
An era that was defined by the new stars of Orton, Cena and Batista, the rebirth of DX, the death of Vince McMahon....ok maybe not that but it also featured some of the weirdest, strangest and down right terrible gimmicks of all time.
We are dusting off the Wrestlecup to decide which gimmick was the Worst of the Ruthless Aggression era!

Season 2 - Episode 31- JCW Legends and Icons
It's Sam's Birthday Podcast and the choice was his. In true Sam style we get a swerve Russo would be proud of as he has chosen a JCW show! Legends and Icons!
Bob Backlund vs Ken Patera
Roddy Piper v Terry Funk
Greg Valentine v Tito Santana in a cage...sounds great...but this was in 2011!
We may have foud the very worst wrestling show ever to be peddled out, and all this happened at 3am in front of drunk Juggalos!
Is there even a creative to call here? Somebody had better call Sam then and ask why the hell did he pick this?!?

Season 2 - Episode 31 - The Death of Mr McMahon
WWE in 2007 was not in the best shape, with the creation of new stars waining, and reliance on old acts like DX, Undertaker and Kane and the new ECW brand not hitting the mark there was an air of desperation. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and like an ailing soap opra, the best way to boost interest, is a death! Only one character was big enough to be killed off...Mr McMahon! A bewildered broken Mr McMahon would take his final step into his limo only to be blown to high heaven! However...sometimes life has a funny way of imitating art, and a few weeks later, a real life series of deaths would scupper the plans and bring it to a halt never to be discussed again...well..until now! We re-examine and reimagine what this storyline could have become! Rest in Peace Mr McMahon, we hardly knew ya!

Series 2 Episode 28 - ECW Hardcore Heaven 1999
In 99 it is fair to say WWF had a stranglehold back on wrestling. It had fought away its nearest rival in WCW and was dominating the wrestling landscape. However, as ever, there was the third promotion, the cult rival to the big boys, who were chugging along and desperately trying to find its way with limited resources. By Mid 1999 gone were Raven and Sandman, both now in rival WCW, however there was a shock arrival in the land of extreme, the ruler of the world...SID! Better Call Creative love Sid so we are heading to ECW Hardcore Heaven 1999 to review his only ppv match and fantasy book what the land of extreme could have been if Sid had stayed around!

Series 2 - Episode 27 - The Death of the AWA
In the early 80s, the AWA was the place to be. A talented roster that featured the future hall of famers of wrestling like Hogan, Hennig, Heenan and Bockwinkle, the promotion wasn't prepared for the aggressive expansion of Vince McMahon and the WWF. By the end of the decade, anyone with any star power had been snapped up by McMahon and taken to all new heights, and the AWA were left on the verge of bankruptcy and with a thin roster loyal to the Gagne's or of castaways unwanted by the WWF. In desperate efforts to fight their demise, the AWA tried a few different things, a new Team Challenge Series in front of green screen fans, as well as a show solely to put over Kellogg's in their fight with the General Mills! A bad corperate away to say the least but we can not let the AWA die without enjoying their demise and reviewing some of the strangest wrestling shows you are ever likely to see! We are Mad as hell and we are not gonna take it anymore, SOMEBODY HAS TO CALL CREATIVE!!

Season 2 Episode 28 - JCW Bloodymania
Wrestling is a spectrum, and a huge one at that. A million matches, thousands of wrestlers, and hundreds of wrestling companies, you simply never could complete it. However anyone who has watched Bloodymania from JCW in 2007 may very well be able to claim that they have found an watched wrestling's worst match! How ironic then that the match features two WWE Hall of Famers! JCW the ICP led and Juggalo backed promotion was making waves in the indies in mid 2000s and were using there contacts and muscle to book names like Ultimo Dragon, Ron Killings, Scott Hall and Jake Roberts! This show however will go down in wrestling lore and we are going to review it! Somebody had Better Call Creative!

SEASON 2 - EPISODE 27 - Bastion Booger
Some gimmicks are destined to succeed, think The Wyatt Family, The NWO, The Ultimate Warrior...others...not so much! Mike Shaw found this out time and time and time...and time again throughout his some 3 decade career. Beginning in Canada, travelling to Mexico, and having ppv matches for both WCW and WWF, it is fair to say that Mike Shaw mad the most of his wrestling career. Not the most agile of big men, but a big man nonetheless, he would go through some of the most bizarre gimmicks in wrestling, and become famous for one in particular. From Mahkan Singh, to Norm the Lunatic, Friar Ferguson, and final...Bastion Booger! We are here to review and look back fondly at them all as we celebrate Mike Shaw and his amazing contribution to Wrestling! You'd Better Call Creative a few times on this one!

Wrestlemania XI -
When you have a legacy now at 40, you would be hard pushed to hit a home run every year. For every Wrestlemania 17 there is a Wrestlemania 9, for every Wrestlemania 20 there is a Wrestlemania 32....but one without comparasion may just be Wrestlemania XI. A Wrestlemania where it very much felt that wrestling got in the way, a Wrestlemania headlined by Football versus Wrestling, on a wrestling show, where wrestling.....lost!
That though is just part of the story, as top stars Bret Hart and The Undertaker have arguably their worst Mania matches ever.
This is a Wrestlemania that stands out for all the wrong reasons, and we are here for it! It's Wrestlemania XI and somebody had very much better call creative!
