This week we had the pleasure of welcoming our friend and a real master of his craft, Gio Loria of Black Volt Amplification. Tune in as Luis learns what a decade substitution box is, discuss the journey Gio has taken to bring Black Volt where it is now, and some cheers along the way.
Gio's work is truly impressive with sharp attention to every detail, as each Black Volt Amplifier is completely handmade and carved out of the raw materials one at a time, then signed by Gio. His knowledge in the craft is second-to-none, and it truly shows in the work he and his small crew do in East Los Angeles. It doesn't stop at amplifiers though. Black Volt also creates handcrafted electric guitars, and pedals too!

We have the great pleasure of welcoming our good friend, Rod Castro, to the show for this week! Rod is truly one of those guitar players that when you hear him play, you know what a true professional sounds like. He has a very long resume of gigs ranging from Beyonce, Disney, to his most recent work with Bootsy Collins. Being a loving father and a very sought after guitarist isn't easy, but we love watching him pull it off! We chat about topics such as gig advice, endorsements, balancing it all, and many more tone tails!
