Happy Halloween everyone! This special Halloween episode Chris and Dave are going to rank every movie in the Halloween franchise, listen and let us know if you agree or disagree with our rankings.
-
Not only does Spirit Halloween give you decorations and outfits at affordable prices, but apparently it gives you enough content to make a "Disney channel original-esque" style Halloween movie for the family. Much like the store itself, this movie kind of just came and went. But we grew up on Disney originals from the 90's, so maybe this movie was just the right amount of goofy and whimsical to poke our nostalgia gland. I said maybe.... But if you still want your fill of R-rated horror, Brokewriter Dave and Chris Thomas also give their mini-reviews of "The Last Broadcast" and "Z" respectively.

In the last movie review of the season, we are reviewing one of Chris's favorite movies and a horror classic John Carpenter's The Thing.
-
It is time for the final battle of the season with found footage films, Dave choose The Poughkeepsie Tapes and Chris choose Cloverfield, who will win this battle.
-
This episode we have the incredibly talented horror author Christopher Robertson joining us once again. List as we discuss all of the projects, he has been working on then we transition into a review of Perfect Blue which becomes a discussion on pop culture and anime.
-
This episode we are shaking things up by review the Netflix series The Fall of the House of Usher, part 1 is going to be episode 1 through 4 so you have to stay tuned for part for episodes 4 - 8.
-
Sometimes you don't want your horror movies locally sourced. Sometimes you want to be terrorized by some fine films from overseas. In this Penultimate Versus episode, we travel to the far east....and then even further east as we break down "Ringu" from Japan and "Laddaland" from Thailand. One final match up after this one to determine who gets creative control over next season.
-
Valentine's Day comes earlier as we review the 2001 slasher film Valentine. We also had some homework to review as Chris watched The Black Phone and Dave watched The Experiment.
-
Dave and Chris never existed. The voices were in your head this WHOLE TIME. But, if you're listening anyway, you might as well take our advice and listen BodyBag's 3rd versus match. Sometimes it's not what you see, but what you imagination creates....or something like that....I think that's what my Film Theory professor said in college. We have two very different films, both in subject matter and.....ahem...enjoyment. "Speak no Evil" and "Jacob's Ladder." Which one is better at mind f*cking the audience and which one is better at just F*cking you out of your time?.
-
This week we take a stroll down memory lane as we review one Chris's favorite childhood movies Scooby-Doo Zombie Island. We also have homework of Infinity Pool and Ravenous.
-
Who doesn't like Evil Dead? That was rhetorical. We don't tolerate any Evil Dead slander.....not this week, anyway. Not with our special guest, Andrew Adams, in the room. Author of Black Widow Blues, Symposium of the Reaper, Infernal Moon, and a plethora of short stories and novels, Andrew stopped by the podcast to talk about how the Evil Dead franchise influenced his writing projects. Listen as we find the humor in Ash Williams slowly loses his mind.
-
This week we dive into the Final Destination franchise as we rank them, we also get into ranking our favorite kills in the series, so let us know what your ranking is.
-
Coming to you LIVE (Well.....pre-recorded and pre-edited) it's BODYBAG PODCAST!!!!! Our non-existent sponsors tell me we got a great show for you. We might not be communing with the devil, but we will most certainly review his performance. But, coming up after a quick commercial break, we have homework to talk about. Dave goes on a trip to the Devil's Carnival while Chris gets abducted. And now....here are your hosts; Chris Thomas and Brokewriter Dave!!!
-
This week we are giving a second chance to Skinamarink, and well it does not go well. We also review our homework of Carmichael Manor and Maniac.
-
For legal reasons, I have to say that neither Dave nor I are serial killers. But we certainly do our research. In this corner, we have a couple of gritty 80's serial killers named Henry and Otis....and in this corner, dawning their signature barnyard masks, it's the Killers from "You're Next.". But which one deserves the title of "Slasher" more?
-
We are giving a second chance to Robert Egger's The Lighthouse, Chris and Dave both didn't like this movie the first time around now let us tell you how we felt on our second viewing.
-
We have always maintained that A24 is.....well, a mixed bag. Movies like Hereditary or Midsommar can seem genius to some and boring to others. What can't be denied, however, is the effect that said movies have had on horror and horror authors. Dystopian and horror author, Davide Tarsitano was nice enough to come by the show to promote his latest book, "Hollow," and to tell us how certain A24 projects have impacted him and his work.
-
This week we are giving praise to The Father of Zombies, the Godfather of the Dead we are ranking George A Romero's top films, Chris and Dave each made a list to compare and talk about it, so listen and see how similar or different each list is. Feel free to let us know who had the better list Chris or Dave.
-
Space!! It's a huge place, but there's only room for one winner in these matches. Sure, we could have pitted two classics like Alien or The Thing against each other. But what fun is that? We want movies that don't usually end up in that discussion. Enter Slither in this corner and Event Horizon in the next. It doesn't matter if you stay here on earth or go millions of years into space.....death will find a way to come get you.
-
This week was Dave's pick of The House of the Devil, a 2009 Ti West film, a film that we both went into blind see what we think of it, also we had homework of Dave watching Paranorman and Chris watching Hell House LLC. 2
