  • Welcome to Season 6 with me Shivraj Parshad. As a Coach, Mentor and Media educator, this becomes a powerful medium for me to speak to you about events, ideas and people who left a profound impact on me and therefore can make a world of difference to you. I was recently asked to re-examine my 50 years of life on earth, as a perfectly written novel. What I discovered was mind blowing. With each passing phase of my life, certain gifts in terms of knowledge and strengths made me learn a lot more about myself, which I feel compelled to pass on. Over the next few episodes, I will be either talking to you about or interviewing folks whose insights and collective wisdom will definitely give you more to learn as you listen along. And if for some reason you need that safe and trusted space to fully explore and unlock your own potential. I’m always here for you. Just write to me on [email protected] or search for me across social media to block my time to just talk. Since learning is also about listening, I would love to hear from you. • June was Pride month with the corporate spotlight on LGBTQ+ inclusion. But what about the remaining 11 months? Get your pens and papers ready for this crucial conversation with Aparna Mittal, Founder of Samāna Centre for Gender, Policy and Law. She addresses very existential questions: Do issues of differences like gender, sexuality, other identities of caste, creed, class and so on and so forth, not matter? What are the implications of overlooking them in our dynamic and diverse workforce? Is it only about the business bottom-line or more?

Aparna tells us how she works with corporate, non-corporate entities and leaders to get them to introspect on what Diversity, Inclusion and Equity (DI&E) actually entails. She breaks it down not just in conceptual and compliance terms but also what it means on the ground for businesses who plan to be successful and stick around.

  • ‘Making spinach into bubble gum!’
In today’s frenetic pace where we drive our children to focus on beating the competition and vying for the awards and that prized place in college and career, we often forget to equip them with the essential life skills like social and emotional well. This is where my next guests come in; Vinati Dev and Deepti Sen Gupta - Co-founders of Sai Shiko an offline and online learning studio.

Vinati and Deepti speak to me about how they are hoping to pioneer the first of it's kind positive thinking life coaching platform for young children, parents and educators alike. The goal is to create a common vocabulary to encourage a growth mindset and resilience. While all this may sound esoteric, they insist they have put in a lot of hard work to make all this learning fun!

  • ‘A cardinal rule to sticking to your diet or health goals is really to love yourself.’

2020 and 20121 have definitely increased the complexity with how we do just about anything, forget even achieving any of our goals. Which is why my next guest…health coach Ritu Sharma is just so central to that conversation on how we can remain healthy in the face of any adversity. In this conversation she tells us, it is about understanding your body, inside out and really loving yourself first.
