For this episode we had the pleasure of being joined by David Collins, founder of Howay Investments and fund manager of the Howay Equity Fund.
Over the 20 years prior to founding Howay Investments, David worked in both London and the United States in senior management and investing roles for Prudential, Och-Ziff Capital (now Sculptor Capital) and Morgan Stanley.
'We formed Howay Investments to create something a little different in the world of fund management. We like to think of ourselves as being the investing equivalent of a small, craft brewer. We want to craft something better than what the large institutional fund managers offer. For too long they have churned out bland, mass-produced funds that often fail to deliver for investors.' - David Collins.
In this episode David talks about his investing style, how he generates ideas, and provides a superb breakdown of two quality companies he's bullish on for the long run.
