Let's face it, we've all fell down the rabbit hole of an end time conspiracy at some point in our lives by now. Or maybe instead of a conspiracy, we sat through the a false teacher or prophet preaching a whole lotta of anti-biblical nonsense. Realistically, we will never be able to escape with the frenzy of conspiracies, false prophecies and heresies that drop every week on the internet. Nevertheless, it's important that we not be deceived, and the Word of God is here to guide us through all the lies and deception.

Most conversations surrounding the gospel talk about the physical pain, suffering and death that Christ experienced on our behalf. Today I want to talk about something else Jesus endured for our sakes, and that's humiliation. Some people think God is egotistical, but when we really take time to consider what it meant for the Creator to humble Himself and suffer at the hands of His own creation, the "egotistical" label simply doesn't stick. Let's unpack.

Today I invite 3 women from the UN-ASSOCIATED team on to talk about what it means to be women who are "set apart" in today's society. Danielle Clayton (Editor-in-Chief), Dena Williams (Live Events Director) and Maddy Owusu (Social Engagement Director) open up about their adolescent years as Believers, their ideas on purpose, marriage, and desirability politics.

The conversation around our individual purposes can be an exciting one or anxious one depending on who you ask. I've noticed a large amount of anxiety our generation has when it comes to this. We are in a point in our lives where we want to know our purpose, but it seems like God doesn't want to give us a clear answer to what that is. How do we continue to navigate our day-to-day, uneventful, unfulfilling lives until He answers us?

What are the 7 ways you can know you're depending on the Lord? Here are 4–7.
(4) you work with and trust others in a team rather than trying to do everything yourself
(5) You can take a day off working
(6) You rely on God when you're tank is empty
(7) You chase God instead of worldly things.

Dependency on the Lord is an essential part of our relationship with Him. Despite this, many of us are still hell-bent on doing everything ourselves. We typically refer to this act as "trusting in the flesh". God is not a fan of this. In fact, He's cursed the Israelites for doing this in Jeremiah 17. Not only is trusting in the flesh offensive to God, it can also lead to a life of anxiety, stress, fatigue and rocky relationships. In this episode, we do some self evaluation in order to gauge where we can improve in our dependency.

Are you too busy for God? On the 200th episode of Churchboy Confessions – and after a long time away – I want us to reflect on the ways we've put our relationship with the Lord on the backburner. (We're wasting zero time). By defining what it means to be a man/woman after God's heart, my hope is that you understand your relationship with the Lord is more important than any responsibility you have in life.

We all have goals we are after. However at the same time, many of us carry the intention of not going before God and always being intentional about being in His will. Today I'll answer a couple Ask Churchboy submissions to discuss goal-setting and enduring the valley seasons of life. This is the last episode of the season and year of CC. Thank you all for a great 2023. Merry Christmas!

As men we are told we need to be strong and independent. However, that does not mean we should be independent from the Lord. To be a man is to be DEPENDENT on the Lord. How can we, as men, acknowledge and embrace our need for God in a society that teaches us to hide our weaknesses?

Back in February of this year, I did published a series of episodes about pride that were heavily inspired by 2 articles I found on DesiringGod.org. Today, in honor of our Men's Month, I got the priviledge to sit down with Jon Bloom - author of "Lay Aside the Weight of Pride" and "Lay Aside the Weight of Low Self Image". He is the co-founder of Desiring God, and we are going to talk about pride in manhood and how we, as men, can combat it.

This week we are rediscovering thi Overcoming Sins episodes from 2020. I opened up about my past struggle with sexual sin and how the Holy Spirit has helped uncover the lies of the enemy that kept me in "the cycle". I pray this episode holds power to help free you from any lustful struggle you are facing. One very important thing to note - it is possible to beat it.

God's love is much easier to recognize when we get past our sense of entitlement. Entitlement writes off the ways God shows us His love as the bare minimum. We might not say it, but deep in our hearts, many of us think God owes us food, shelter, water, health, money, and life. In reality, He owes us nothing...but gives us everything because of His love.

Godly friendships/relationships are the most important thing in your life besides Christ. One day, you job, money, spiritual gifts, degrees, and property will mean nothing. What will remain will be God, us and the love that bonds us. We need friendship. Let's talk about it.

I decided to make this episode to speak about the recent tragedies in Gaza and Israel. There's been a lot of rallying and split-support for both sides, which has made it hard to really discern truth from lies. I'm someone still being careful to fully understand the present and history of this issue. Nevertheless, among many of the takes I've seen online, a very important principle has been consistently absent - God's command to love our neighbor.

God's love is the purest motivation to live. As basic as the topic of love might sound, it is the foundation of our relationship with God and others. Without love, we have nothing. I forgot about God's love, but I am thankful that He reminded me about it this week.

Then God said, "Teamwork shall make Mine dream work." God may have not said that explicitly, but in His Word, His love for teamwork and collaboration is explicit enough. In this second (and last) part of our spiritual gift series, let's talk about how God's vision for His Church is for it to grow through the communal effort and collaboration from ALL members in the body of Christ. Let's learn about the importance of teamwork.

In this 2-part episode series, we break down this quote from my Spiritual Formation course curriculum: "...we must remember that spiritual gifts are not given for the purpose of providing a sense of personal satisfaction or achievement...Spiritual gifts are given for the common good, for building up the Body of Christ." Let's have a conversation about spiritual and how they can be misused or misperceived.

When we are angry, we end up doing or saying things that we regret. That's because our anger does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:20). In this episode, let's recall the importance and role of the Holy Spirit as our Life Coach in order to help us realize the steps we can take to being more like Christ.
