BIO: My name is Tiffany, and I was a teenage runaway. When Ineeded services to secure my safety and placement, I had access. Every positiveoutcome I have experienced is founded on this fundamental truth â sanctuarysaves lives and prevents continued or worsening adverse experiences.
I was fortunate to have the care of a public-school teacher;Andrea C. Viggiano was my Journalism teacher at Toms River High School South.She petitioned for custody when I ran away, and 3 days before Christmas, I wasable to go home with my Viggiano family.
The shelter made such an impression that I returned tocollege in 2010 with the goal of working there. I completed my A.A. at OceanCounty College, magna cum laude, in 2013. Shortly thereafter, I beganemployment as a part-time residential counselor while continuing my degree atStockton University. In 2014, I was promoted to full-time residentialcounselor, but in 2015 I had to step aside due to health issues. I returned toStockton University and completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2019, magna cumlaude. My major focus was Psychology with a minor specialization in ChildhoodStudies. My CAPSTONE final project, âTreatment effects for maltreated childrenand adolescents,â used 2015 data from the Longitudinal Studies of Child Abuseand Neglect (LONGSCAN). I created and tested my own hypothesis using a two-waymixed ANOVA.

I was fortunate to graduate from college by the age oftwenty. I cloistered myself in an American yoga ashram (monastery), where Ibegan the formal training of my spiritual learning. After having learned simplebut cosmic truths that I could not have learned in the society at large, I leftthe ashram to learn more simple but cosmic truths that I could not have learnedin the ashram.
I was fortunate to get a job as a resident host in abeautiful YMCA camp at the very lake where the lightning had struck my tentseven years earlier. I followed my path as a music teacher, trumpet player, andcomposer, and while conducting a symphonic work of mine, met my future wife,who was a clarinetist; we married eleven months later. I was hired to teachmusic and yoga at a school for emotionally disturbed children a few miles fromthe YMCA camp, and began to teach evening yoga and meditation classes there aswell.
My adult yogastudents and I then established The American Yoga Conservatory in order toteach yoga on a deeper level without the external Indian cultural trappings. InDecember of 1984, my wife and I learned that we were with child, theConservatory lost its lease, and I had my first channeled reading by the entityHemetro, who later would reveal himself as one of my three principal guides.
I was made aware of mistakes in the structure of my teachingvehicle (the Conservatory), and immediately began the process of releasing thatfrom my life. I traveled to the Soviet Union in May of 1985 with 80 otheryogis, artists, teachers, actors, authors, and clergy, in order to establishgrassroots contact with Russian counterparts. Upon returning home, I secured ajob as a music teacher in the New York City suburb of Mahwah, New Jersey.
Our first child was born that August, and a new chapter ofmy life - that of a father - began in earnest, all the while, attempting toserve humanity through music and my love of children. It has not been easy.Sometimes humanity does not wish to be served.

BIO: Janet Sternburgis a versatile artist, photographer, writer, filmmaker, and educator. Since1998, her photography has been featured in Aperture, Art Journal, and The UtneReader. She received a claim as one of the international artists and writerswho challenged social norms with their work. Her monographs, "OverSpilling World" (2016-17) and I've Been Walking" (2021), showcase herunique photographic video. Her solo exhibitions have graced galleries in NewYork, Los Angeles, Berlin, Milan, Munich, Mexi co, and Korea, where she createda full l-building in Tal location at Seoul Institute of the Arts. She's knownfor using disposable cameras to create borderless and internet-rating imagery.As a writer, she's authored seminal works like "The Writer on HerWork" (W.W. Nor ton, 1981 and 1991) and critically praised books such as"Phantom Limb" (2002) and "White Matter " (2016), blendingmemoir and essay forms. Her films "El Tearo Campes Into" anddocumentary "Virginia Woolf- The Moment Whole" garnered a claim.Sternburg resides in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, with a residence inDowntown Los Angeles Little Tokyo. She's been honored with grants, feelfellowships, and artist residencies, including support from the NationalEndowment for the Humanities and MacDowell.
