We saved a doozy for the end of the year as we talk about our favorite Cosmic Tape Music couple with one of our favorite people! The first half of the episode is a piece that was originally recorded live in our aforementioned FB Group. The second half was recorded last week and features our good friend Todd Barton. He actually got to spend a day with Bebe back in the 90s. We talked about his experience with her that day as well as his initial reaction to the classic Sci-fi film Forbidden Planet starring Leslie Nielsen. We also got into the legend of the Krell patch and much much more. It was a hoot and we hope you enjoy this Holiday Extravaganza!

He's a avant-garde savant. He had a highly notable education and mentors. He learned to embrace the concept of individualism. He was in it for the long haul and had an incredible work ethic. He was on the cover of SGT. Pepper's! If you are curious about the details of these and many more of Karlheinz's accomplishments then hit that play button and buckle up. We go deep space on Stockhausen in this episode!

Join your hosts Jacqueline and Augustus of the experimental pop band The Galaxy Electric as they get cosmic on the topic of Pierre Schaeffer. Thought of by many as the godfather of sampling, he was known as one of the original purveyors of what is now known as musique concrète. Thanks for joining us for Episode 9 of the Cosmic Tape Music Club Podcast! Join your hosts Jacqueline and Augustus of the experimental pop band The Galaxy Electric as they get cosmic on the topic of Delia Derbyshire. Delia was a key member of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and a Tape Music genius. She was best known for composing the original theme to the popular Sci-Fi television series Dr. Who. However, that was just one of many breathtaking tape pieces. Some say her education as a Mathematician played a seminal role in her ability to compose strictly with chopped up bits of tape. We have a lovely chat about all things Delia and more.
