This episode originally aired on the Mike Durband Show. Thanks Mike, for allowing me to use it.
Mike and I are both huge fans of the tremendous and controversial band, Guns N Roses, and we don't always agree on which songs we like and dislike. Similar to past episode reviews of Chinese Democracy and The Spaghetti Incident, Mike and I are going to take the two disc release of Use Your Illusion I and II and wittle it down to one excellent CD. Not only do we give our song choices, but this episode is also full of notes from GNR history, and personal stories of our fandom, live event attendance, and more!

This episode of The Best Of CC features former WWF European, Hardcore, and Tag Team Champion, and former TNA Producer, Mr. Al Snow! Al was kind enough to come on and spend an hour discussing his career and his views on the business. We talk about what initially drew him to pro wrestling, and his infamous tryout with Ole and Gene Anderson. From there, we cover his experiences on the indies, and with the NWA and ECW, including his thoughts on the incident where Shane Douglas threw down the NWA Championship, as well as his matches with Chris Benoit. We go over his time in SMW working for Jim Cornette, and working with Glenn "Kane" Jacobs, back when he was known as UniBomb, and feuding with the Rock N Roll Express. Al discusses the Shinobi and Avatar gimmicks, and wrestling on WWF television under those names, and also as Leif Cassidy. The end of the Cassidy gimmick comes up, and how that translated into his ECW run, before he discovered and utilized "Head." From there, we cover a plethora of topics, including working with Rob Van Dam and Shane Douglas, returning to the WWF and working with Vince Russo, the WWF's inability to initially use Al and Head properly, the Hardcore title run with Hardcore Bob Holly, the original Tough Enough and comparing it to The Ultimate Fighter, ECW One Night Stand 2005 and the incident between The Blue Meanie and JBL, Conor McGregor vs. Pro Wrestling, and his thoughts on Joey Ryan. Al also covers TNA, and goes off on a rant about what he truly thinks of "smart" and "internet" wrestling fans that must be heard! Some may find it offensive, I found it enlightening...
And we also talk about The Al Snow Wrestling Academy, located in England, with Al as the head trainer, and assisted by Joe E. Legend, Doug Williams, and Jonny Storm. You can find out all the info you want on the school at AlSnowWrestling.com

On Today's Best Of Creative Control, it's been twelve years since the release of Guns N' Roses "Chinese Democracy," one of the most divisive albums of all time, and I revisit my 3 part conversation with Mike Durband and Jeff Urstadt, and combine them into one show, as the fellas are here to discuss the album with me, when they first heard of it, impressions of some early leaks, "exclusive" album releases in big chain electronic or department stores, some of the various collaborators with worked with Axl on this album through the years, and a reviews of tracks 1-5!
Plus we break down and give our thoughts on tracks 6-10, and discuss "Catcher In The Rye" (both the novel and the song,) Brian May vs. Bumblefoot, "TWAT," Slash's attempts to play "Chinese Democracy' solos at live shows, the perplexing additions of "Scraped" and "Riad," plus how Axl's concerns and obsessions over trends and keeping GNR "current" may have ultimately made the album sound dated.
And finally we discuss tracks 11-14. including "IRS" and its early leaks, "Madagascar" and its infamous MTV performance plus Axl's alleged motivation behind the song, "This I Love" from the 90s til its release, and "Prostitute," plus the current lineup performing live vs. the GNR of the 90s, the future of the band including rumored new releases, and what if the Finck/Buckethead era of the group returned?

On episode 121 of Creative Control with Joe Feeney, he's here! Former ECW and NWA World Heavyweight Champion, and the host of The Raven Effect podcast, RAVEN is on Creative Control! I tried to stray from the usual wrestling questions, so we get a variery, a cornucopia if you will, of Raven's thoughts on a variety of subjects, including:
- how Point Break and others movies inspired the Raven character
- his musicial influences including The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, STP, AIC, and more!
- his favorite and least favorite concerts he's ever been to
- his thoughts on the current season of Game Of Thrones, and his love for the show 12 Monkeys
- comic books, his favorites, and what ended his comic reading habit
- acting in the movies "Sleeper" and "Death Racers"
- Watchmen, the movie, and the upcoming show on HBO
- how he became involved in stand up comedy
- Using DDP Yoga and learning...hypnosis?!
- working with Billy Corgan at Resistance Pro Wrestling, and almost working with him in TNA
- working with Paul Heyman in ECW, and who else he felt "got" the Raven character
- his thoughts on his podcast, "The Raven Effect," and the podcasting genre in general

On this week's CLASSIC Creative Control, we have a truly legendary figure in the history of pro wrestling, former WCW President, RAW General Manager, and Impact Wrestling Executive Producer, ERIC BISCHOFF!
Eric and I delve deep into some of the post WCW days of his career, and hit some WCW questions as well!
Topics discussed include:
-did WWE contact him to be involved in either The Invasion or the return of the NWO?
- did he have any contact or involvement in some of the post WCW/ECW start up promotions, including MECW, XWF, or, WWA?
- did he have any conversations with Jeff or Jerry Jarrett in the beginning stages of TNA, and what are his thoughts on Jerry overall?
- who were his right hand men in WCW, and what were his thoughts on JJ Dillon, Dusty Rhodes, Greg Gagne, and Kevin Sullivan?
- who were his favorite WCW talents to work with on camera?
- during the Monday Night Wars, what was his favorite "shot" that he took at WWE?
- working with Paul Heyman in WWE and a little known project they started together
- working with Chris Jericho in WWE
- working with John Cena in WWE
- working with The Big Show, Ric Flair, and Steve Austin through the years
- his memories of being in the Hammerstein Ballroom for ECW One Night Stand 2005
- writing his autobiography, "Controversy Creates Cash"
- his present day relationship with WWE, including his DVD/Blu Ray, inducting DDP into the WWE Hall Of Fame, and his appearance on the RAW 25th Anniversary

On Today's Creative Control Daily, I return to shoot the shit about lazy podcasting, reusing content, I thank some of the loyal listeners, patrons, associates, and friends who have sent me some things recently, I bitch about COVID ruining my chances to see GNR again, to have a blast at Expo Lucha, and to spend seven days in glorious Disney World, PLUS swimming in the COVID soup a couple of times, dealing with depression “episodes” that had increased in length, accepting flaws, and allowing medication to do its job.
