It’s time for another classic Margot ramble-fest! 🎃 First up, I share about the weekend I spent with my BFF and her adorable son. We did all the fall things—pumpkin patches, halloween decor, and let’s just say the child has more stamina than I’ve ever had in my life. Also, I dragged Mark along for some pumpkin picking which HE LOVED.
Then, because I’m me, I dive into my list of spooky movie picks—because what would October be without them? (Hint: Boring.) Naturally, I also blab about the usual life stuff and whatever else popped into my brain at the time. You know how it goes.
Finally, I close things out with a mini-crime story about one of the creepiest, unsolved mysteries ever—the Villisca Axe Murders. If you’re not familiar, prepare to be freaked out by what went down in that little house in Iowa back in 1912. I promise, you’ll be locking your doors tonight.

In 1991, Austin—a city growing fast but still holding onto its small-town charm—was rocked by a crime so brutal it’s haunted the community for decades. Four teenage girls, a cozy yogurt shop, and a night that ended in unimaginable tragedy. In this final part of the Austin Yogurt Shop Murders series, I’ll dig into what really happened behind those doors and who could be responsible for such an unspeakable act.
