Welcome to DOB episode 04 : part 02. We hope you enjoyed part one!
In this segment we take the conversation ahead with Tanmay Vippulancha. We dive into sustainable design as we answer some questions from our Instagram followers.
Does Tanmay think we have failed our environment and how? How does he envision? and hopes to see people living in the future. Are cities just a machine for big corporations to continue exploiting the planet and it's people? What are the ways Tanmay experiments with sustainability in design?
And finally, what he would do differently if he went back to design school 😉.
Hope you enjoy! -

Hello Hello! We are back with our 3rd episode!
ON TODAY'S MENU : The Art vs Design Debate.
For starters : We talk about whether it even needs to be a debate? and are Art and Design two parallels that never meet?
For the main course we introspect our biases towards the two and try to gauge the boundaries between the two. Also, The "bodybuilding" analogy. "Is every designer a little bit of an artist?"
And for dessert, we indulge in stories about our personal journey and how Design can have multiple sources of inspiration.
Hope you enjoy this one!
If you have some thoughts about this that you would like to share, we would love to hear from you!
Have a great weekend and stay tuned for more interesting conversations :) -
We are back with our second episode! And this time we have a special guest joining us. Maria Marilyn joseph is a product designer working for scicommhackCERN and Scinaptics Association based in Geneva. She is currently working in the field of Science communication as a designer, which entails finding efficient and user centric ways to communicate start up projects from CERN, through the ScicommhackCERN initiative. Shaped by her experience developing an Airquality visualization device at CERN, her interests lie in using technology to create sustainable products. So she proved to be the perfect guest to discuss the relationship between creativity in today's day and age and it's ties with the ever-evolving technology of today. We debate how tech encourages the habit of “instant gratification,” which assists us when in the context of productivity and whether that diminishes our patience level for the deeper thinking, required to be truly creative.

As our first step towards starting conversations around design, creativity, and its impact over our environment, we reflect upon some of the things in hindsight we would tweak or do differently to optimise our education experience, if we could go back to college with the knowledge and maturity we have now. This is one of many self-reflective conversations to come which may help others find their footing within their own environment or at the least motivate to reflect upon their OWN experiences.
