Born and raised in Munich, C A R E N • C A L L A S [@carencallas, BER | GER] attended a music-oriented high school, where she played classical piano and sang in a Hip-Hop Jazz band. In 2004, she moved to Berlin for love.
Once there, she pursued a career in event management and quickly was hooked by Berlin‘s music scene. Starting interest in Hip-Hop and Funk, she later transitioned to House music. Her job at the Berlin Fashion Week allowed her to collaborate with DJs and bands for after-show parties. After organizing major festivals like Watergate/Fly Bermuda, as well as events for brands such as Hugo Boss, Michalsky, Levis, and Diesel, she began her journey as a booker at the intimate Berlin club „Farbfernseher“. Slowly, she started DJing herself, eventually landing gigs at larger clubs. She‘s currently also venturing into music production.
Her style is House, deep & techhouse – driving, yet uplifting beats, driven by a passion for vocals and melodies.
In 2024, she made her debut at HÖR (@hoerberlin), followed by a performance at ARTE Concert.

L I L Y • L I L L E M O R [@lilylillemor | GER, Munich ] is a DJ and event organizer. She is involved in running the subcultural center Import Export and has been advocating for more equality behind the decks for many years through the queer-feminist WUT collective. Until its closure in 2023, Lily was a resident DJ at the legendary Harry Klein club for five years. There, she curated the feminist club festival "Marry Klein" several times.
Lily's sound spans a wide range, skillfully blending elements of Dark Disco, Indie Dance, Electro, EBM, and Deep House into a highly danceable ensemble. Her groovy style instantly catches attention and continuously challenges the audience with clever twists in her sets.

Based in Dresden since late 2021, P U R P L E • S O L [@purplesol | GER] is an emerging DJ whose love for music was ignited by the upbeat, feel-good vibes of disco music at sunny festival floors.This enthusiasm for creating and sharing joy through music led PurpleSol to start DJing actively during the challenging times of the pandemic. PurpleSol found solace in uplifting disco and high-energy tracks, evolving into a mix of Indie Dance and Dark Disco, with occasional Happy & 90s Trance and Downtempo.
Since early 2023, PurpleSol has been actively involved with 'Spektralwelt,' a collective that focuses on creative light design. For the last podcast in 2023 we have chosen B A B X I [@babxi, Berlin | GER] – she shares her unique repertoire, a 'Dreamcatcher of House and Disco' at some of Berlin’s biggest clubs: Sisyphos, KaterBlau, KitKatClub, Renate and Ritter Butzke, to name a few. And she also just got back from a Thailand tour!
Her sound is an indulgent mix of high-energy, often nostalgic groove for free spirits and old souls: think feel-good female vocals and cheeky mementos from golden times, always inspired by her boogie angel, her Dad (and his permed hair and platform shoes back then!).
Raised on the Canadian prairies with Filipino, Scottish and Irish roots, she moved to Berlin in 2013. In 2023, she became a resident of the house and disco collective Diskolusion (@diskolusion).

F R A N K A [@franka_ogs, Berlin | GER] is a queer German DJ currently based in Berlin. She usually plays a juicy mix of House and Disco and played this year mostly in Berlin, some more known venues are Sisyphos Wintergarten or Kater Blau. She’s part of her hometown collective @ogeso and the newest member of @unseenberlin, which is a FLINTA orientated collective which regularly hosts parties and workshops in Berlin. Back in 2020 she was taught how to play vinyls in an old DDR Banana bunker in her hometown deep down in the countryside of Mecklenburg and hasn’t stopped ever since. Her passion for vinyls grew and she loves discovering new record stores all around the world.

Not knowing why, M I C H A E L • E L L I S [@ellis |Freiburg, GER] started playing his records to friends and strangers. Some seemed to like it, so he continued playing records to them. Out of these shenanigans, various club nights, hangovers, ringing ears and interestingly enough, more invitations to play records to other people have sprung. It is ridiculous.
Let’s cut to the chase: Inspired by whatever happened on dance floors in the late 70s until today, Michael Ellis built up a record collection and hosted events just to make some use of that collection. Important to note: Michael has NOT set foot on the aforementioned dance floors of the 70s, as he was born in the 90s when nobody seemed to care about Disco anymore. But from what he read and heard first hand, it must have been quite a scene. Thank God the records of those decades, especially original U.S. Disco, Italian oddities and New York City's Vocal House stompers with a splash of Gospel can still be purchased at affordable prices, until Michael runs out of space.
Today in Freiburg, he roams the sonic spheres by hosting „Ready or Not“, Roller Discos, House Dance Jams and recently „Brighter Days“, the latter bringing together international acts and local talent of everything Disco, House and Techno.

Emil aka H A R R Y • H A N C O C K [@harryhancock | Berlin, GER] has a record collection that explores the more delicate sides of dance (and not so dance) music. His sets are usually based on House, but may contain traces of balearic disco bliss, jazzed out pianos, psychedelic guitar solos or trippy proggy deepness, depending on the occasion. With a sensitivity for narrative and collective vibing, Emil helped to shape the Disco and House sounds of Dresden, where he co-founded the infamous Palais Palett e.V. crew and open-air part of one of Dresden’s bigges clubs objekt klein a. He’s now based in Berlin, where this classic 90s House themed vinyl only mix was recorded.

A N S O N I C A [@ansonicamusic | BERLIN, GER] an Italian DJ based in Berlin. Thanks to the influence of her mother, she literally grew up with spaghetti and Italo disco. She spent years in the Italian club scene, as DJ Host and PR at Ribbon Club Culture in Central Italy, before moving to Berlin in 2015. ANSONICA mixes Hi-NRG disco with house and electronic vibes to create her own authentic music style with a little Italian spice. She plays regularly at Berlin clubs like Kitkat, Bulbul, and Oxi, among others, and is a member of the diverse network female:pressure. ANSONICA launched her own party series called "Cosmic Circuit," promoting musical and social inclusivity with other FLINTA artists.
Her mission is making Disco glamorous and exciting again and bring the dancers on a fresh, sweaty and fun journey. Way to go!

W I L L E M [@wilem_wir | DD, GER] – always with a grin and a witty remark, Willem sets himself up at the decks. Growing up in the northern flatlands, the constant sound of 80s, 90s, and 2000s hits in his mom's car sparked an unexpected fascination with electronic music that never faded. He is part of the crew named "Wild in der Region e.V." and not only does he mix in the DJ booth, but he also helps set up various festivals including the Uckeralm, Oewerall, and Letzte Wiese Festivals. His library is as colorful as an ice cream truck on LSD, with styles ranging from lo-fi house to house, disco, indie-dance, and techno. He always keeps at least one ear on the crowd. Based in Dresden since 2012, he can be found at various club and party events.
