  • Scott and Pete returned on Thursday for End of the Empire episode six. Pete gives an explanation of Evergrande, the Chinese real estate company that is just barely avoiding default thanks to the CCP. They then discuss Scott’s recent interview with geopolitical author Peter Zeihan who believes the American isolationists have won and that the absence of American military power on the global stage will mean widespread war. Scott gives reasons for why he thinks Zeihan has this backwards. Finally, Scott and Pete give their takes on the Kyle Rittenhouse situation in light of new information that has come out during his trial.

Just about all of Will’s work can be found at the Libertarian Institute website and is absolutely worth checking out. Scott and Pete also have a lengthy discussion about Julian Assange. Scott gives a background on his current situation and the two discuss the danger his case poses to all of journalism. Scott talks about his recent interview with Cheryl Rofer, the chemist who wrote about the scientific implausibility of a Russian Brain Ray causing the so-called Havana Syndrome. Lastly, they touch on China with a focus on their economic history, the social credit system and both the positives and negatives of U.S. China economic dependency.

  • On Thursday, Pete Quinones and Scott Horton live-streamed the first episode of their new podcast End of the Empire on the Libertarian Institute’s Youtube Channel. In the episode, the two discuss Pete’s recent appearance on Tim Pool’s show Timcast. Scott commends Pete’s approach to debunking China hawk propaganda in front of a right-wing audience. The two also discuss the stupidity of global empire before getting into why Pete has been focusing more on local politics. The episode wraps up with a long discussion of political strategy from a national scale all the way down to small towns.
