  • Welcome back to the third episode of ESCAP on air.

At ESCAP in Copenhagen 2023, we invited two leading researchers in functional disorders, Judith Rosmalen and Karen Kallesøe, for a conversation about their area of expertise. Judith is a professor in psychosomatic illnesses at the University of Groningen, and Karen is a doctor working in the functional team and research section at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Aarhus.

The interview is divided into two chapters. In the first, we hear our guests talk about functional disorders in general, and in the second, they delve deeper into the challenges of researching functional disorders, as well as the challenges that lie ahead on the horizon.
