If you follow MWS on socials, you’ll notice that they’ve pretty much been taken over by a campaign we’ve called #Stocktober.
Throughout the month of October, we’ve pitched a stock a day in a 60-second video. We've compared it to a mini MBA in your pocket, or the Duolingo of stocks. The benefit the viewer gets is that they can learn about the most important components of a business in under a minute, and more importantly, they get a quick snapshot of what we think of the stock from an investment perspective.
So if you haven’t checked out those videos, I’d recommend taking a few minutes out of your day and head on over to MyWallSt’s TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, or Instagram account and have a look at the videos.
If you’re interested in businesses, popular brands, stock investing, or tech companies, - there are nuggets of information that will make you smarter in minutes.
In this episode of FML, we discuss in more detail some of the stocks we’ve pitched so far ⭐️
We hope you enjoy!

If you loved our pyramid building episode, then you’re going to like this one too!
MyWallSt's Business Manager, Zoë Farrell, has kindly given us permission to stalk her real-life stock portfolio. Anne Marie sat down and spent hours analysing its positions and proportions to see what gaps were missing.
Anne Marie plugged Zoë’s portfolio into FML's pyramid to see which stocks fit in the different brackets whilst suggesting some changes if she is missing some important categories, sectors, or anything else in between.
Stick around to see if Anne Marie thinks Zoë needs to tear up her portfolio and start again, make some minor adjustments, or is it already perfect?!
Plus, our Girlboss of the Week has a bite to it this week! Don't miss the hungry tale of a famous Chief Operating Officer.
We hope you enjoy it.

Strap in, we've got a wild story for you this week on FML.
We're telling you the story of Victoria Woodhull.
You might be sitting there wondering who in the world is she?!
Well, she was known for A LOT of things, but as female investors, the thing we’re most interested in was that she was the first woman ever to own a brokerage firm on Wall Street.
She was also the leader of the women's suffrage movement, and was also allegedly the first woman to start a weekly newspaper. Victoria was also famous for her activism for women's rights and labor reform.
So stay tuned to find out all about this interesting woman.
We hope you enjoy!

Much to our delight, this episode is all about social media.
We’re seeing numerous trends pop-up that are changing the social media landscape and in turn, it’s having a knock on effect on some of the best performing stocks.
In this (slightly longer than usual) episode, Anne Marie and Nicole discuss:
- The launch of Bereal and why we think it's shot to popularity,
- Pinterest testing a new very interesting app which sent its stock soaring in recent weeks.
- It wouldn’t be a social media discussion if we didn’t mention the downfall of Facebook and the copy-cat strategy Instagram has taken which is making users cringe from second hand embarrassment,
- Plus we answer the pivotal question:
Is the nature of social media companies that they have a short lifespan?

Hello there, and welcome to episode two of FML!
This show isn't about Beyoncé and her love triangles, but rather how investing in companies you know and brands you love is a great investment strategy.
Up first, we chat about the Becky ETF, a social media viral sensation. The idea behind the fake ETF is to invest in companies popular with high-earning women in the U.S. since they control a high portion of female spending.
Anne Marie created a fictional 'MyWallSt x Becky ETF' to see how the 'basic' stocks in our shortlist performed vs the S&P 500.
Plus we also discuss:
- Buying what you know and reflect on how our first stock picks were both products we loved,
- Nicole's obsession with Olaplex and if it is a good investment opportunity,
- What stocks we would pick if we were to start our portfolios from scratch,
- And lots more!
We hope you enjoy.
