This episode is a powerful reminder that now more than ever, we must stand tall and live proud. As the world grows louder in its warnings to hide our Jewish identity, Natalie Sopinsky refuses to shrink. A former Delaware native turned firearm-carrying settler and mother of five, Natalie lives in the Hebron Hills and serves as the director of development for emergency services across Judea and Samaria.

From teenage identity crises to vibrant life among the hills and goats, from dealing with fear to finding fierce purpose—Natalie’s story is raw, real, and deeply moving.

She shares what it means to live with Emunah, how she walks fearlessly in places others deem dangerous, and why the Jewish people must stay rooted, visible, and strong.

Natalie is the Director of Development for Hatzalah Yehuda and Shomron, where she oversees emergency medical services across 150 communities throughout Judea and Samaria. A Delaware native raised in a conservative Jewish, all-American home, Natalie made Aliyah and now resides in the Hebron Hills, embracing a lifestyle that reflects her deep commitment to the land and people of Israel.

A trained attorney, certified lifeguard, and devoted mother of five, Natalie brings a unique blend of courage, conviction, and care to everything she does. She is also the host of Returning Home, a weekly radio program on Israel News Talk Radio, where she discusses topics related to Aliyah, Jewish identity, and life in Israel’s heartland.

Her story is one of transformation, resilience, and purpose—bridging worlds and forging new paths in service of a greater mission.

In this rich and nourishing episode of From The Inside Out with Rivkah and Eda, Nechama Schusterman joins us to explore how women can release the deep programming of lack and unworthiness—and come back to a place of inner fullness and divine feminine abundance.

Drawing deeply from the Chassidic teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and the wisdom of Chabad Chassidus, Nechama shares a soulful and grounded approach to preparing for Pesach—not through pressure or perfectionism, but through presence, purpose, and inner peace.

    We talk about:
🌿 How childhood roles and family dynamics shape our adult patterns
🌿 Why many women feel the need to overdo or prove their worth—and how to heal that
🌿 The connection between spirituality, emotional clarity, and nervous system safety
🌿 Reframing Pesach prep as a spiritual return instead of a to-do list
🌿 Reclaiming feminine energy and sacred self-worth through a Chassidic lens

This episode is a breath of fresh air for anyone who feels overwhelmed by the expectations of womanhood, motherhood, or Jewish holidays—and is ready to choose a gentler, more powerful path rooted in Torah and soul! We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Special thanks to Women of Iron Unite for making this episode possible. Founded on October 10th amid the pain of Operation Iron Sword, three courageous women from Crown Heights united to protect Eretz Yisroel by inspiring prayer, unity, and tznius within our community. Organized by Sarale Blau, Rivky Perl, and Ruthie Sperlin, their initiative continues to empower women to take small steps toward growth and holiness even in challenging times.

Modesty (tznius) is one of the most sensitive, often misunderstood topics in the Jewish world. It’s not just about clothing—it’s about identity, confidence, dignity, and connection to something deeper. In this thought-provoking episode of From the Inside Out, we sit down with two incredible guests: Rivky Slonim, a powerhouse in Jewish education, and Joyce Azria, former fashion executive turned modesty advocate. Together, we unravel the layers of tznius—why it’s challenging, what it truly means beyond fabric and rules, and how it can be a source of empowerment rather than restriction.

Joyce shares her journey from the high-fashion world to embracing modesty, revealing the unexpected luxury and confidence it brings. Rivka offers profound insights on what tznius really is (hint: it’s NOT just about covering up) and how it’s deeply tied to self-respect, spirituality, and personal growth. We also explore topics like navigating modesty in professional spaces, finding joy in mitzvos even when they feel hard, and how to inspire the next generation without force or judgment.

Rivkah Slonim is the Associate Director at the Chabad Center for Jewish Student Life at Binghamton University. An internationally known teacher, lecturer, and activist, she travels widely, addressing the intersection of traditional Jewish observance and contemporary life, with a special focus on Jewish women in Jewish law and life. Slonim is the editor of Total Immersion: A Mikvah Anthology and Bread and Fire; Jewish Women find God in the Everyday. Slonim and her husband are the grateful and proud parents of nine children. You can find more from Rivky Slonim here: https://www.chabad.org/search/keyword_cdo/kid/1328/jewish/Rivkah-Slonim.htm

Joyce Azria is a fashion and wellness entrepreneur, formerly the Creative Director of BCBGeneration and founder of Avec Les Filles and Amazon’s ROHB. Daughter of the late Max Azria, she grew up in “fashion royalty,” but her journey from Chanel to Shabbat reshaped her approach—shifting from creating value-driven brands to leading with her values as an Orthodox Jewish woman. Now co-founder of The Healer’s Collection, Joyce shares her passion, spirituality, and rich experiences to inspire audiences nationwide. She lives in Miami, Florida, with her children. In this episode of From The Inside Out Podcast with Rivkah and Eda, Rabbi Mendel Kalmenson, author of Positivity Bias, A Time to Heal, and On Purpose, explores the deeper meaning of positivity and purpose through the lens of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s teachings. Drawing from his extensive study of the Rebbe’s wisdom, Rabbi Kalmenson challenges the common notion that positivity is naïve, reframing it instead as positive theology—a perspective that reveals the deeper truth of reality rather than just a mindset shift.

He shares powerful insights on overcoming negativity bias, finding meaning in life’s struggles, and discovering one’s unique purpose. He explains how our talents, passions, personality traits, and even our greatest challenges are clues to our mission in this world. Through compelling stories and real-life examples, he illustrates how personal hardships can lead to transformation, how we can shift from survival mode to thriving, and why the Rebbe’s teachings are more relevant today than ever.

Rabbi Kalmenson’s work is rooted in his deep exploration of the Rebbe’s guidance, distilling its profound messages into practical wisdom for today’s world. Whether discussing healing, resilience, or personal growth, he brings to life the Rebbe’s perspective on how every individual has a vital role to play in the grand purpose of creation.

Welcome to this very special episode of From the Inside Out with Rivkah & Eda! Usually, we invite guests to share their insights, but for the first time since the inception of our podcast, we turned the mic on ourselves and shared our stories.

A few months back, the Montreal Torah Center flew us down for a unique event where we had the privilege of interviewing Rabbi Moshe New. (Be sure to listen to that inspiring episode here: https://youtu.be/KXqo5NqqVfw )

During that visit, we were also interviewed (for the very first time!) by Rabbi Getzy Markowitz (https://www.instagram.com/getzym/?hl=en), Director of the Family Store (https://www.instagram.com/tfsmtl/?hl=en) and Young Jewish Professionals of Montreal, and Amanda Bindman (https://ca.linkedin.com/in/amanda-bindman-b27555130)

In this candid conversation, we open up about our own journeys—sharing stories of growing up in homes of generosity, overcoming personal challenges, and embracing so many stages of transformation throughout our lives.

We want to thank you- our amazing listeners - for joining us on this journey. We hope our stories resonate with you and inspire you in some way. Please let us know your thoughts and share your own experiences in the comments below!

We are excited to share this with you and hope you enjoy.

Lake County is a wine growing region in Northern California that many winemakers like to nickname “the new Napa”. The area is known for its volcanic soil and sharp differences of temperature between the day and night during the growing and harvesting season.
