He is from Brooklyn, New York, and is the author of “Bobby’s Adventure at A New School” (which highlights the need for inclusivity accessibility and provides representation for children with disabilities). He is also a TEDx Speaker (“Life is like Lemonade”), current Team USA Para- powerlifter (working towards qualifying to represent the USA in the Paralympics), model, dancer, and most of all an advocate for disabled rights. He founded The Garrison Redd Project which provides individuals with assistance in the community, the workplace, transportation, education, etc., with the essential goal of bettering the well-being of disabled individuals. Kish was born & raised in Brooklyn NY. She is a little person but is not considered a dwarf or midget. Growing up she was never properly diagnosed by any doctors. She just knew she was different from everyone else, and having a twin brother named Jason along with 7 other siblings who’s normal average height. She never allowed her disability to stop her from living her life! She recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Television Radio Emerging Media from Brooklyn college. In episode 19, we talked about the health problems related to the treatment of a spinal cord injury. Its many health problems, you need to care when getting a spinal cord injury. A primary concern is UTIs! UTIS is simply a part of life for people with spinal cord injuries. In this episode, one of our hosts talks about his stay in hospital and what he felt during that period. It is very important to take care of yourself and eat clean when you have SCI, because it is easy to get UTIs. You have to drink plenty of water and try to use the cleanest method while using the bathroom. Tune in to episode 19, we're talking about it all!
