We've been conditioned to always be in doing mode, so much so we can often feel guilty when we stop. It's challenging to do nothing but by doing it regularly we can not only increase our power and productivity but give ourselves permission to enjoy the creative process. Life is a creation, we can become whoever we want to be, and do whatever we want to do, but we need to make space for it.
We can't be useful or find creative solutions when we're in a state of overwhelm. Collectively, we're all feeling that. We need to protect where our energy is being directed because this energy that we have is so precious and we only have so much of it.
In this episode, I offer some insight as to how to manage your own energy so that you can create the life you love from a place of fulfillment and joy.

What we perceive as good and bad may not be good or bad at all. It just is what it is. And what's more important is how we react to things in the moment.

The creative process is always a mystery. It comes in and then it goes out and some days it's there, some days it's really flowing and it's wonderful and it feels amazing. And other days it's really stuck and stagnant and it feels horrible and uncomfortable. So your job, your only job really is to commit to showing up and doing it anyway, no matter what it feels like.

How many times have you said to someone else. “Oh, you should totally go for that.” but then in the same breath, you've said to yourself, Oh, I could never do that. That's because allow our (mostly subconscious ) limiting beliefs about ourselves to run the show and stop us in our tracks. In this episode, I offer a very powerful solution to help you overcome those beliefs and get moving!

We discuss the challenges of balancing an online business with wellness, removing shame, and offer some very practical ideas and support for those of you embarking on a new creative project. Today I had the pleasure of chatting with my dear friend Allie Hill, a Hot yoga pioneer, entrepreneur, mum, and all-around inspirational woman. We talk about her wild start as a pole dancer in Japan, how she survived breast cancer, opened one of the first hot yoga studios in the UK, and her journey to becoming a mum at the age of 50. Allie is a fascinating human being that keeps going in the face of adversity, I think you will really enjoy todays episode. More about Allie's yoga studios and teacher training here

We all have the potential to judge. We all have the potential to be triggered and say the wrong thing because we're human beings. And we're this full spectrum of emotions and we all carry the shadow and the negative attributes that come along with that. The more you can integrate the shadow. The more you can embrace those parts of yourselves, the free you become.

You have an idea, you get excited by the concept and the thought of bringing this into the world. So you begin, it's new, it's exciting you maybe set out a plan or just jump in and try, either way, you very quickly discover that it's awkward, it's not how you, first of all, envisioned it. It becomes challenging, the plan now doesn't seem so clear, it's not as fun as you first anticipated, you start to lose energy, and all of a sudden that initial excitement you had is replaced by frustration, self-doubt, unworthiness and essentially fear, in all its forms. Chances are you drop the project entirely, claiming that it was a failure, and so are you. This is normal.Join me in this mini-solo episode where I talk about the inevitability of this cycle in the creative process and what to do about it.
