  • Part Two!

Beth is Inuk, originally from Igloolik, Nunavut and grew up in Ottawa, Ontario who now works as a lawyer. I met Beth through doing somatic processing and inner exploration. Our work together focused on healing religious, political, and historical trauma. Beth and I connected to talk about how that work ultimately lead her to Islam and she expressed that it was the best thing that could have happened to her. I couldn't wait to hear her story and I was so overjoyed that she chose to share the medicine she found.

  • Welcome back to the pond. Last time you were here it seemed interesting enough, so why not make your way back in through the mud and the shrubs. Join, pull up a log, listen to the frogs.

We go through topics such as Big foot, Middle Earth, Aliens, and probably much more.

We will be recording more of these wetland adventures. Thanks for the support of the first episode we put out together! Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Welcome to the Pond dear story keepers.

Imagine for a moment that you found a trail through a swampy forest. Watching your step, you weave through the dense willow bushes. In the fog you begin to hear voices and they are having a lively conversation. As you get closer you smell a familiar herb in the air, curiosity grips you! Who could be out here? Noticing that the voices are arising from a pond nearby you quietly approach. Peering over a large rotten log, you see a frog with a long pipe across the pond. Smoke rising from its pipe, it rests on a lilly pad, keenly listening to another frog perched on the shoreline. It appears they are high as fuck, discussing the nature of reality. You settle in, this should be good.

These episodes with my good friend Tina are a gift to myself. An opportunity to drop into the absurd waters and play. This is a branch away from my usual episodes as I find myself needing more humour these days!

Meet Tina! ā€œHello, Iā€™m Tina! I am a creative person who loves to ponder the possibilities of the universe. I am a freelance jack of all trades, digital designer, side-hustler and student of the human experience. • Hello and welcome back to this series "The Meeting of Medicines With Adam Fleisher".

My friend Adam Fleisher has been navigating cancer and the different levels of perception available to our consciousness when it comes to disease. In this episode Adam tells me about his first encounter with the traditional plant medicines Hape, Sananga, and Yage provided to him by a Taita from Colombia. Please enjoy this catch up as Adam shares his experience with me and we chat about preparing to head down to Colombia mid January. Please stay tuned as the remaining episodes in this series come into being!

  • Hello story keepers and welcome back to season 4 of the Good Medicine. Our guest today is Vivian. Vivian is a certified meditation teacher through Dharma Moon and Tibet House. In this conversation Vivian and I discuss our teacher training, mindfulness and mental health, and the challenges the last few years have presented. Just starting out on her meditation journey Vivian hopes to see you on the trail.

As mentioned in the episode you can join Brittany Valentino and Vivian Neff on December 4th for a FREE 3-hour open community sit (aka meditation) for CHARITY from 10 am- 1 pm EST/4 pm-7 pm CET. The organizations chosen for donation are areas that could use more support during this giving season.
The event will be live-streamed. A mindfulness-based sitting and walking meditation practice will take place as Vivian and Brittany take turns guiding and offering small insights throughout the 3-hours.
Though this is a FREE event, it is asked that you consider donating a minimum of $5 to one of the chosen worthy causes/ organizations.

  • Welcome Adam Fleisher to the podcast!
This journey with Adam will be a series, so welcome to EP 1
If you have been a long time listener of the show than you will know Adam as the man who makes it sound good! Our editor extraordinaire!

I met Adam when he came to do embodiment work with me. Our work together led him to becoming the editor of the podcast and a great friend of mine. He is a down to earth, rational, and very kind person that I feel very honoured to know. Over the last year Adam has been confronted with health issues that have taken him on quite the journey. The magic that he had found in connecting to himself and the deeper nature of reality walked with him along this healing path in some surprising ways (You will hear about the poster gift in this episode!).
Having been an explorer of the "para" and looking for deeper answers outside of western medicine Adam has decided to sit and experience Colombian plant medicines. His first experience will be discussed in the second part of this series as he attends a 3 day medicine ceremony. We will then travel together to the Amazon rainforest mid January 2023 for a week long medicine experience. Following this trip we will conclude or series together in as many episodes as it takes!

So much gratitude to Adam for being open to sharing his journey with such vulnerability. I can't wait to bring the rest of this series to you guys! I appreciate the listeners of this podcast more than they could know. As I watch the numbers grow I feel more and more encouraged to keep having these conversations.

  • Hello beautiful beings!
Please welcome Noel Coakley to the Good Medicine podcast. Noel was one of my teachers in the 100hr mindfulness meditation teacher training put on through Dharma Moon. It was there that I felt the need to dive deeper with Noel and have the talk you are about to hear. Noel is a psychotherapist, meditation teacher, and former elementary school special educator. He has studied Tibetan Buddhism since 1997 and the Bƶn tradition since 2013. He is a father, husband, and friend to a dog named Clementine. Noel is dedicated to the accessibility of the dharma and its application in modern culture. This conversation moves through Noels path to his practice and his role in the community. We transition into the ideas that Buddhism and the Bƶn tradition and how we can apply those in our modern lives.

  • A very special episode, please welcome Bobby Wade to the Good Medicine!

Bobby is one of the cofounders of the Eagle Condor Alliance, a plant medicine centre in Colombia. In 2019 I was lucky enough to attend the centre and benefited first hand from the close knit team and the medicine they offer. I have so much praise for Bobby and the whole of the ECA, along with a wealth of gratitude for his coming on and sharing his story and wisdom. He has been as facilitator and integration guide to hundreds of retreat guests during their in-depth journeys with psychedelics for over a decade. Working directly and intimately with native/mestizo healers in ceremony, being a bridge to people in their preparation of ceremonial journeys, coaching and guiding guests before during and after ceremony and retreats.
Over the past 12 years he has studied and sat with numerous indigenous elders and healers from various pueblos of the Americas including: Cofan, Siona, Secoya, Arhuaco, Uitoto, Embera, Sikuani, Mexica, Lakota, Dakota, Wiratika, and Nutabe. • Welcome to Season 3 of the good medicine show!

At the beginning of this episode I mention "the spooky season" and I was referring to halloween and scorpio season (when it was recorded) but as it turns out Sagittarius season is a lot scarier for me! I try to trust the timing of when these episodes come out, so welcome Sagittarius season and welcome Karen Rontowski to the Good Medicine!

Karen has been a comedian for 30 years and a tarot reader for 25 of those years! She mixes the two in her on stage performance, her podcast, and her life. Karen and her wonderful dog Courage join me to speak about how comedy and tarot came into her life. As always our personal medicine grows out of the roots of our story, and Karens Story is an epic one.

I get the chance to ask Karen about her paranormal experiences and the occult investigations she has been on. This episode was such a joy to record and I can't thank Karen enough for coming on and sharing her wisdom and magic.

Karen has comedy albums up on Spotify including her 2020 Psychic Standup as well as a wonderful patreon where she teaches tarot and psychic development.

For readings with Karen or to get in contact you can find her at https://www.karenrontowski.com/ or on instagram at @rontowski

  • The last Episode of Season 2, and we end this one with a big dose of natural medicine!

A beautiful soul, mother, daughter, sister, human trying to develop and maintain a healthy, respectful relationship with the visible and invisible beings of the land she lives on. Through plant magic and tarot Samantha explores what it means to be in relationship to other.

I had so much fun recording this with Samantha, an incredible friend, student, and teacher I believe her story alone is medicine and I hope you learn as much as I have from her in this recording!

You can reach Samantha at @samanthareadsgood and at her website hedgereader.com!
Her Tarot style is unique and beautiful and I highly recommend her insight!
Follow her to find out about her oracle oils!

  • Welcome back to the show everybody! There will be 3 episodes coming out in October (I think!) that I am very excited about. The first one, this one, is with Mana Aelin! A good friend, a practitioner, artist, and otherworldian traveler. We dive into her tarot process and the story of how it found her. Mana speaks on the complex nature of studying fae culture as a paranormal investigator/researcher in the sea of misinformation that is out there. I ask her about investigations she has been on and learn about the Kentucky Meat Shower. I can't recommend Mana more for tarot or her other offerings - Enjoy the episode!

  • Jayme-Lynn Gloade is a multitalented artist and all around wondrous gem of a human. In this episode Jayme and I dive into how art has been medicinal in her life and the different mediums she has explored. We discuss her Indigenous roots and how her heritage colours her art as well as societal expectations around connecting art to culture. We discuss the changing landscape of our humanity as people wake up to our interconnected nature, the good, the bad, and the horrific. Jayme is a part of an organization based in Halifax Nova Scotia called Change is Brewing. The collective of brewers has organized to make a space for BIPOC and LGBTQ folks to bring their magic to the industry promoting inclusion and diversity.
Below is a excerpt from the linked article:

"A Miā€™kmaq ceramic artist from the Millbrook First Nation and alumna of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD), Jayme-Lynn Gloade said that her involvement with the Collective has tempered the racism sheā€™s suffered in service jobs. ā€œIā€™ve worked at some dreadful places,ā€ said Gloade, who is also a staffer at Good Robot. ā€œChange is Brewing gives people of colour a sense of unity and a space to heal and grow together.ā€"
