On Memorial Day weekend in 1921, white racist assholes across the Frisco railroad tracks in south Tulsa decided to burn the town of Greenwood (known as Black Wall Street) to the ground, killing more than 300 people, and leaving 10,000 homeless. On September 7th, 1997, hunters in Piegan National Forest in North Carolina found human bones, clothes, and other items scattered in the woods near a campground. The remains were mostly centered around a shallow grave and belonged to a woman between 40-55 years old with a seriously arthritic knee. Here is the disappearance and death of Judy Smith.

On October 26, 1440 Joan of Arc's friend, knight and lord Gilles de Rais was hanged and then thrown into a fire. This was a super popular thing to do in Europe at the time. We know this happened to millions of women accused of witchcraft. But Gilles had a more insidious crime than that: kidnapping, raping, and killing kids.
