We're back... It's season two, episode one and we've already messed it up! Unfortunately, we're a guest down this episode due to illness so instead, we thought we would still come together as planned but this time, talk about ourselves... Who doesn't love talking about themselves? ;o)
We get under the skin of how it all started for Sam, how Chris and Ian evolved their award-winning agency Absolute Creative into to being approached to open the first Nettl partner web studio in the country. How Nous Digital was formed and all the trials and tribulations along the way. Including how Ian left Chris for another man and how this tragic (but amicable) breakup tale all came back together in the Hit Publish podcast studio! ;o)

It’s the last episode of the season and the last episode of the year! So, we thought it was the perfect time to ‘wrap up 2019’… just for the crack! No guests this time though, just us three discussing the episodes and guests that joined us throughout season one, some topics of interest and some rubbish banter!
Slightly different to our usual podcast structure, we touched on each episode, discussed some of our favourite guests and our plans for the Hit Publish Podcast in 2020.
We hope you enjoy this episode, we hope you had a great Christmas and we hope you have a top (ever so slightly messy) new year! See you in 2020!

Firstly… we/I messed up the audio again on this one! That magic button (I think most call it the ‘on’ switch) wasn’t pressed. We have now implemented a ‘checklist’ before we start recording so hopefully… it won’t happen again ;o/ So please forgive us for the very average (but better than most to be fair) audio quality.
We met up with Jonathan Pollinger, a social media trainer whos mission it is to equip you with the tools to grow your business using the right social media channels for you.
Jonathan provides tailored social media training using the latest tips, tools and techniques to make your social media work hard. Whether that’s raising awareness of your business or charity, helping you to attract more customers or boosting conversions, sales and profits.

As the title suggests, this one is a little off subject, but certainly worth a listen. As well as playing host to the Hit Publish podcast the UK Digital Retail Innovation Centre (aka the UK:DRIC) is a hub for digital innovation, based in the heart of Gloucester. UK:DRIC manager Emily Knight and Jason Smith head of Marketing Gloucester unpacked for us the purpose behind UK:DRIC and shared success stories from companies working with the UK:DRIC.
As well as being an advocate of technology (providing it has a purpose and a benefit) the UK:DRIC is about supporting and promoting the high street. Emily & Jason outline some of the developments being made to help the high street keep up with technological change and also the case was made and evidence provided for Gloucester as a proven path-finding City of tech innovation.
All in all a fascinating episode, if not entirely digital marketing or algorithm obsessed, this one is well worth a listen.
