    Brigitte lives in a 16th century house, which she is in the process of restoring to its fabulous Tudor glory. There are few people who can tell us this much about the daily world of the Tudors.

  • This is the final in our trilogy of episodes regarding the great battle of

    Bannockburn, which happened in June 1314, when the might of England could not defeat the Scottish army.

    This is one of the most famous battles in Scottish history.

    In our previous episodes we spoke of the leaders of the opposing armies, as well as of the battle itself, in all its glory.

    This time we’re talking about the legacy of the Battle of Bannockburn, what did it mean for Scotland, for its victor Robert the Bruce and what can you see from this battlefield today.

    Now, let’s hear our interview with Callum Watson, author and historian, who actually works at the site of the Battle of Bannockburn and who recently published a book on the topic with Pen & Sword.

    He also contributed to the Channel 5 documentary ‘Britain’s Lost Battlefields’, where he spoke all things Bannockburn;
