When a woman becomes pregnant, there is an extensive list of questions that follow: what can I eat, what movement can I do, what kind of delivery do I want, with who, where, will I breastfeed or use formula… The list is longer than the pregnancy. This is where a doula comes into the picture of pregnancy and post-partum. You don’t even have to be pregnant to enlist a doula’s support.

This show isn’t about following new wellness trends, but if there was one to JUMP on it would be this - rebounding! It’s a workout that basically takes you back to your childhood of jumping on a trampoline. As it turns out, the trampoline is good for our health and celebrities like Madonna, Goldie Hawn, Gwyneth Paltrow, Gisele Bundchen, Tony Robbins, and Miranda Kerr are big fans.
The top leaders in rebounding, Colette Dong & Aly Giampolo from The Ness Fitness join the show to explain its benefits. The Ness is a dance-based, movement focused fitness method that offers workouts both on and off the trampoline. At its New York City studio and on its international digital platform, the Ness’ dynamic, addicting and ever-evolving bounce classes will amplify your cardio routine with a hefty dose of joy, mental stamina and sensory awareness. Bouncing is easy on your joints but still provides a high-adrenaline, heart-pumping workout, with added benefits including lymphatic drainage and pelvic floor strength. Complemented by full-body sculpt classes, you’ll always leave the ness as the buzzing foremost version of yourself.
Colette Dong is a movement addict with multiple degrees in dance performance and exercise science. After pioneering the Dance Science department at Elon University, she went on to work in the research department at the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries. Prior to founding the ness, Colette gained experience in the fitness industry as trainer and operations director for several boutique studios across NYC.
Aly Giampolo graduated from Westminster College of the Arts with a BA in dance performance, concentrating in teaching and pedagogy. While obtaining her degree, she performed and choreographed with Afro-house company Vissi Dance Theater with works showcased throughout the United States, Italy, Jamaica, and Japan. Prior to founding the ness, she began her fitness journey teaching at top boutique studios in NYC and has since amassed a cult following as a celebrity trainer with clients such as Eva Longoria and Sophia Bush. Aly holds a NASM fitness training certification, along with a pre + postnatal pilates certification.
If your home workouts are starting to feel stale and you are ready for a workout that makes you feel carefree and exhilarated? Then let’s JUMP on in!
In this episode Collette shares:

We want to look good and feel good, but can’t always afford the in-office anti-aging treatments. Luckily, daily at-home tools are becoming more powerful, affordable and equally effective as some professional treatments. From LED masks to micro current machines it’s available at home except one new innovation is causing quite a stir. It’s a brand called Lyma Life. They debuted with a medical grade supplement engineered to have your body look and feel its best. Users have reported a ‘profound difference’ in their hair, skin, nails and more.
Now they’ve added an at-home laser bringing something wholly unique to the beauty tech space. The Lyma laser promises all the power of a medical-grade laser (improved skin texture, reduced redness, and fewer fine lines) without any downtime, pain, or side effects. Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, and Kate Hudson have all been cited as huge fans of Lyma laser with a pre-launch record breaking wait-list of 10,000!
Lucy Goff, Lyma founder, spent six weeks in the hospital battling septicemia in 2012. After months of consulting with several leading physicians, a chance meeting with the world renowned pharmacy nutritionist Dr. Paul Clayton changed the course of her life and subsequently the course of the wellness industry. Lucy not only felt better but she uncovered the truth about the supplement industry, that almost all supplements sold today deliver no provable benefits. Lucy left her career in journalism and public relations to set out to change people’s lives with the creation of The LYMA Supplement. When it launched in 2018 the supplement sold out and garnered high-profile and celebrity clientele, with the product described as “Miracle Pills” by Vogue and “a massive scientific breakthrough” by the Telegraph. LYMA now exists to give everyone the advantage with proven products, based on proven science and breakthrough technology.

Hyperpigmentation. It’s a topic you’ve likely heard about either from your own experience, hearing a friend complain about it or after a pregnancy. Christine has personally dealt with both melasma and hyperpigmentation since her early 30s when she started hormonal fertility treatments. Then with each pregnancy over the past decade it became worse. Christine tried many skincare brands and in office treatments to cure her hyperpigmentation and nothing seemed to make a dent.
Enter model, actress, entrepreneur, podcast host, author, mom and beauty enthusiast Molly Sims. She is also the founder and chief creative officer of YSE Beauty. As with everything she does, she brings her authentic stuff to this brand because she also struggled with her own skin for decades. From cystic acne in her 20s to sun damage, hyperpigmentation and melasma in my 30s and 40s. Molly spent too many years dependent on her concealer. This led her to create a YSE Beauty, a product that was effective and simple for the woman on the run, not to mention the beautiful packaging.
Since it is the season of sun and sun damage, Molly is here to share her journey to healthy skin:
1:30 Molly’s childhood in kentucky and leading to modeling

We are going to a bootcamp! It’s not the sweat-inducing kind, this is your microbiome bootcamp! You may know about the gut microbiome already but did you know the skin also has a microbiome? It does and its health and stability is just as important when thinking of your beauty and the aging process. As we age, the skin’s epidermal layer weakens which leads to faster signs of aging. It’s also caused by “beauty burnout” when you use too many products or do too many treatments breaking down your epidermal layer.
There is a way to repair your skin’s microbiome naturally. Dahlia Devkota, a former beauty editor turned founder and CEO of Editrix, a microbiome focused luxury brand that uses advanced science to rehabilitate skin. After many years reporting from the front lines of beauty for “Allure” and “W” magazine, Dahlia stepped away from the industry. She was lured back into beauty as a brand founder when she saw a white space in the market: skincare that addressed skin’s native function through the pathway of beneficial bacteria. Collaborating with her sister, Dr. Suzanne Devkota, who is a world renowned authority on the gut microbiome, Dahlia began extensive R&D on the skin microbiome. After much research, she became thoroughly convinced that this was the most direct and effective pathway to skin health. Editrix was born. A highly concise and curated line of products using postbiotics from human beneficial bacteria to revolutionize skin.
Editrix is all about bringing the skin back to homeostasis to strengthen its natural abilities like protecting against inflammation, pollution, oxidation, and general aging. It’s simplified the product offering with 4 powerhouse products that are a rehab for your skin and promise a much-needed glow-up.
Dahlia explains everything about the skin’s microbiome:

Christine was at a breaking point when she met the guest for this episode, Lauren Brim. Her third daughter was born with colic, which is a very general term to explain a baby in discomfort and typically crying all the time. After following a friend’s recommendation to try Craniosacral Fascial Therapy from expert Lauren Brim, Chrisitne’s daughter Josephine found relief from her colic and made a bowel movement after days of constipation. Lauren also helped Christine uncover the underlying causes of the colic and discomfort for Josephine.
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle massage that uses a light touch and stretch techniques to assess and release restrictions of the connective tissue throughout the whole body. This can help relax and release tension that is causing pain, it helps to align the body structurally, and gets all the systems working properly - like eating, pooping, sleeping, and basically normalizing a baby’s central nervous system. It also helps to restore a calm balance to the natural biorhythms of the child.
Dr. Lauren Brim is the creator of Bodywork for Babies International. She is a Craniosacral Fascial Therapist, an Advanced BodyTalk Practitioner and Instructor, and she runs a busy practice of treating babies and working with families in Los Angeles while teaching this work to others in her online course. She loves sharing this gentle work with our youngest population and watching the miracles that unfold with feeding, breathing and development and how this early intervention helps not only the baby but the whole family thrive.
Whether you are dealing with colic and need relief or you're interested in hearing about the benefits of this therapy for yourself, Lauren’s here to explain:
5:00 What is cranial sacral therapy
7:30 Symptoms you may have injured fascia
9:00 Why craniosacral therapy is great for babies
11:00 How craniosacral therapy helps the body heal itself
12:00 Why a breastfeeding mother needs a healthy nervous system
14:00 how often she sees tight fascia in mouths of babies
16:45 How early can babies receive craniosacral therapy
19:00 Explanation of a craniosacral therapy session for babies
20:00 What else to expect during craniosacral therapy
21:28 Relief you can expect after a craniosacral therapy session
23:29 The powerful work of craniosacral therapy
26:15 How often does one need craniosacral therapy
27:53 You can learn to do craniosacral therapy with Lauren’s course

Women’s health needs are not a-one-size-fits-all, so why should your vitamins be? Doctors recommend pregnant women take prenatal vitamins, but what should perimenopausal women take or post menopausal? No matter where you are in your reproductive cycle, Alex Taylor, the co-founder and co-CEO of women’s wellness brand Perelel, set forth to solve those supplemental needs.
Alex became a self-proclaimed wellness buff after navigating her own thyroid diagnosis, and she’s no stranger to products with a purpose after years working in the fashion and wellness space. She first grew intimately aware of the lack of transparency and education available in the prenatal-vitamin market when she was pregnant with her first child. That led her to begin customizing a prenatal regimen for herself.
Searching for a solution, she launched Perelel: the first/only OB-GYN founded vitamin brand that meets you wherever you are on your journey as a mom. Perelel is pioneering a new standard for supporting women with vitamins for every stage of their reproductive life cycle.
Previously, Alex served as president and executive editor-in-chief for Clique Media; maintained roles at Vogue, Rogers & Cowan, L'Oréal, Google and URBN’s Free People; and has been recognized on Forbes 30 Under 30. Alex is a graduate of USC, with a dual-degree in journalism and creative writing. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband, two children, and her goldendoodle.
Alex shares the following:
4:30 Understanding the female reproductive needs
6:30 Her pregnancy journey that lead to Perelel
8:00 How she went from working at vogue to vitamins
10:30 why she wanted to reinvent the prenatal vitamin

As consumers, marketing tells us we need the next newest skincare products containing as many ingredients as possible for the most benefit. Brands provide those loaded products (most of which are wasted in efficacy on skin because they are in such a low quantity) and they add synthetic ingredients with plenty of preservatives, and they focus on the symptoms instead of treating the source of our skincare concerns.
There’s a simple solution, Symbiome skincare. The line uses 10 or less ingredients in all its products which restores the skin’s natural resilience, health and beauty. Symbiome is a microbiome research & development company, rooted in science, that has created a post biotic line of skincare to pave the way to healthy skin.
Its founder, Larry Weiss, is a leader in the microbiome and life sciences community with over 20 years on the forefront of innovation developing clean, safe, and non-toxic household and skincare products. He leads an esteemed group of PhD microbiologists and dermatologists who have created Symbiome’s cutting edge research of the microbiome and its role in skin health.
Larry has a medical degree from Stanford University and a BS in Biochemistry from Cornell University. He has over 20 patents and publications in the areas of chemistry, electrophysiology, clinical pharmacology, and the microbiome.
The VP of Research and Development at Symbiomem, Julia Durack, has extensive knowledge and research experience in clinical microbiology, the human microbiome, and its role in health and disease. She has a Ph. D. in Food Microbiology and BS in Biomedical Science.
Both of them discuss the following:
3:52 What is microbiome and what is its role in skin health
5:22 Differences between good and bad bacteria on the skin
7:44 The role inflammation plays in our skin health
10:15 External stressors to avoid that disrupt our skin microbiome
12:11 How your skin dictates your overall health
15:50 Value of eating fermented foods
18:59 Why you should eat more fermented food
26:14 Biggest myth of microbiome
33:50 Why they only believe in products with 7 ingredients or less

Your gut is the foundation of your entire health. Your microbiome directly relates to how you look, feel, and think. When your gut is out of balance and inflamed - it can trigger other issues like autoimmune conditions, heart disease, type 1 diabetes, skin conditions, weight gain, acid reflux, asthma, cancer, anxiety, depression, and more.
The person who knows all about inflammation and specifically gut inflammation is Dr. Will Cole. He dives into how our emotional health directly relates to our gut health and the opposite, how the gut relates to our emotions. In his new book, “Gut Feelings: Healing The Shame-Fueled Relationship Between What You And How You Feel,” Dr. Cole illustrates how stress and shame can cause gut inflammation and sabotage your health in a process called shameflammation.
Dr. Will Cole is a leading functional medicine expert who consults people around the world via webcam and locally in Pittsburgh, helping thousands to lose weight and regain vitality. He is the bestselling author of Ketotarian, The Inflammation Spectrum, and the New York Times Bestseller Intuitive Fasting in which he shows how to use the powerful benefits of flexible intermittent fasting to gain metabolic flexibility and find food peace. Dr. Cole is the host of the new podcast The Art of Being Well, and has co hosted goopfellas podcast and Keto Talk.
Dr. Cole Shares how to live a shameflammation free life and more:
5:00 why mental health is not separate from physical health
7:00 Reasons to assess the type of food you eat
9:00 recommendations for better grains
11:24 how shame raises inflammation levels
