This is it. The Kraken have finished up their 2nd season in the NHL and are headed to the 2023 NHL PLAYOFFS!!!! After an incredible run from this hockey team all year long, they find themselves in some really DEEP water 1st round, playing the defending Stanley Cup Champs...the Colorado Avalanche! And the Kraken will have to find a way to win this series without one of their top forwards, Andre Burakovsky, who is out for the remainder of the playoffs after a setback in his recovery. The boys talk about a couple entry level signings the Kraken have recently made, plus we mention how top Kraken prospect Shane Wright who is now headed to Coachella Valley after his OHL team stunningly got swept in round one, and we alos break down our thoughts on the remaining playoff matchups. In this Epi, the boys talk about another successful week of hockey for the Kraken, picking up 4 of 6 pts, while they start to find consistency from the special teams! Then its all about the final 5 games of the season and securing that playoff spot, as we preview the remaining matchups. In this Epi the boys are fired up after a HUGE week where the Kraken go 4-0 with a couple dramatic overtime wins to go along with that. In the process, Jared McCann becomes the first 30 goal scorer in franchise history while all forwards are now in the double digit territory for goals! Things have not been going the Kraken's way as of late, struggling to find the back of the net with their leading scorer on the watching from the press box. If there was a bright spot for this team this past week, it's been the play of Philip Grubauer, who has been a force between the pipes for the Kraken, and looks primed to take on a lot of starts for the final playoff push. We're back! Before the break, the Kraken finally pick up a win against Vancouver after 6 previously failed attempts and Grubauer earns himself a nice victory vs the Blue Jackets! Now that the All-Star break is over, the Kraken find themselves road tripping through the Metro division against some opponents who they have played tight games against earlier in the year.
