The Russian nesting dolls of podcasts. Worst of the Best is a demo of a pitch of a podcast. While we fine tune it, I present the first draft here for you. Improviser/writer/actor/magician New Jersey native and Bruce Springsteen devotee Matt Donnelly calls out the worst album Bruce Springsteen has ever put out. Is it the one you would've picked?

Mel Brooks is promoting History of the World, Part 1 on KGO Radio on a show hosted by my dad! Bonus info: I was there in studio and also escorted Mr. Brooks to the TV side to do AM San Francisco. Bonus Bonus info: He was utterly great and even told me a joke -- just to me! A private joke from Mel Brooks to me! Lastly, that network news anchor at the very end, Bob Schmidt? Ten years after this was recorded, I was working with him the the ABC Radio Network Newsroom in NYC.
Bonus Bonus Bonus info: our collective memory is that a very young Tom Hanks was also on that same show promoting Bosom Buddies. I can't verify it but my dad and I both remember it that way so it must be true.
(iTunes is weird sometimes and I'll find things mysteriously deleted. I recovered the full interview on a backup drive and reposted it with the additional content.)

What happens when you combine a teacher's strike and disgruntled, talented, irreverent, audacious music students?
We mark the 35th Anniversary of the Berklee College of Music's teacher's strike with the tiniest phenomenon from that unprecedented time.
Not for the faint of heart -- the music thumbs its nose at convention and even taste.

Theodore Isidore Gottlieb was a one-of-a-kind performer whose career spanned six decades. He was known for stream-of-consciousness monologues which he called "stand-up tragedy". He frequently had himself introduced as "a noted philosopher, metaphysician, and podiatrist”. Theodore occupied a unique space in the entertainment landscape. Give a listen to a sample of his work and how I came to discover it for myself.

8-year-old Rollins Eason (my son) has gone all in on the MCU. He's seen the benchmark movies (save for Iron Man and Captain America: Winter Soldier) and tells us all about what's good in them, who's the coolest, which one he wants to be and more!

Caught without a guest, I improvise an episode about improv. Improvise in the sense that upon my late night realization that I had no episode I opened the mic and started talking. Proust has nothing to worry about. This is a loose, one-man, oral history of a small slice of what it felt like to be a part of the theater at its nascent stages.
