Look, we know yordles don't have a lot of lore, but this is ridiculous. Between his bio, comic, and short story, nothing we have here is even canon anymore. Not only that, but the hexplosives expert has been left out of Arcane and Bandle Tale! Just...put him in Arcane. Maybe not during a super emotional scene, but he can do something funny at least.

I guess the thing about getting to the end of the alphabet is that we're rarely going to read anything new. Zed is tied up with a ton of other champions in Ionia. Between Shen, Jhin, Akali, and Kennen, we have read about the Kinkou Order a dozen times already. It was still nice to discuss Zed's POV. Is he...not a villain? Riot doesn't know, but we prefer the complex anti-hero from the comic. More of that please!

Although The Magical Cat isn't a yordle, she has about as much lore as one. Yuumi is different from a lot of other champions fighting their way around Runeterra, so it's only natural she hangs out with the other stuff a little too cute for all the monsters and world-ending crap. We hope she finds her yordle! Trapped in between portals??? That only she can make with a book???? Unless anyone can now???? YARN THO??????

One sword, two swords, red sword, whose swords? Yone, they're Yone's swords. Unlike his highly catalogued brother, Yone has only a smattering of lore. The pieces about him tend to get caught up in the flash of his blades, and don't let us peel back the mask to see the character underneath. There were certain versions of Yone we preferred over others, and his and Yasuo's cooking AU left us all hungry for more. Add in a dash of "wait, is this like, him for real?" from the Spirit Blossom skinline, and we've got a recipe for success.

While not a favorite on the Rift (at least not in NA apparently), Yasuo is a favorite lore-wise for many League fans, and we can see why. With a ton of short stories and some genuinely cool cinematics, Yasuo works. Just...not in game. Please stop bringing him bot lane I beg you.

Although Riot promised there would be other forms of lore for new champions, we haven't seen much evidence of that yet. We still wanted to read about Smolder and see what the heck is going on with dragons. Unfortunately, we still don't know. But we are holding out hope that the MMO is in the works, and Riot will deliver on some other lore methods in the future.
